I play this game because its cheaper.... Quit being so greedy jagex. You already are a multi-million dollar company, must you take more from it's valued customers?

Use to be 5$ now its 7.99$ usd.

Jeez.... Where is the staff that early runescape had.

EDIT: Also this other guy stated that rs3 and osrs need different membership areas. I agree, As we are not paying for the exact same game. People want to play OSRS but it is quit expensive to be honest...
Your going to be pushing your entire player base off into private servers.

We should definitely have 2 separate fees. 1 for osrs and a different one for rs3. I have no intention of playing rs3 at all. And honestly i do not care if rs3 goes belly up to be brutally honest. And living in the us i'm hit with an extra charge for transferring currency from dollars to euros so i'm already paying more then advertised to pay for membership. And since i am not the only one in my house hold playing osrs i am hit with it twice each month.

Not only that but you can not right now at this moment say how much more a month these fees will be? They must be a pretty hefty price increase if you do not want to announce it until the last minute. Last time it hopped up to 7.99 from 5.00 that was a 2.99 increase. If this one hops up that high expect people to cancel. Why would i pay 10.00 2/3 of a subscription to other mmo's such as final fantasy 14 WOW or elder scrolls online or even Wildstar?

I go with osrs as for a little more then the price of 1 of those subscriptions i can pay for 2 family members to play osrs together. But i will not be paying more then that as i'll just take the hit of the extra cost to get a larger scale quality game. Has your higher ups even considered this yet? As i doubt they have. So i'd say split the cost don't increase osrs instead make it separate especially considering our membership fees for osrs alone pay for our small dev team plus the server maintenance.

Separate memberships please!

$5.95 - Old School. (Not eligible for discounts)
$6.95 - Main Server.
$8.95 - Both Servers.

Initially throw everyone on the "Both Servers" plan then they can switch to single server thus losing access to the other and their grandfathered plans.

Also we don't need over 50 worlds with a player base of 10,000 - 25,000. 20 Worlds should be all there is. This allows busy times to retain a playerbase of 1000+ in most worlds and even during quiet times at least 500 or more in a given world.

World 31 is the only the world that felt like true 2007 to me when I was actively playing. Since it had over 1,000 players and was crowded. We need that in all worlds.

That would reduce costs of Old School expenses significantly on top of the already small development team.

Decreasing worlds is not what we need if you expect it to grow. And i'm fine paying the $8.23 per account for the 2 accounts i pay for to play osrs. I am not however going to be happy paying $9.99 $10.99 or $11.99 or even $12.99 a month. For that cost i can just pay full price for a larger scale mmo with much better graphics so makes no sense to pay for osrs at those price points.

Yes, it is needed. If you login and see no one online will probably not stay long as a new player or even existing. With less worlds it makes each world look more full and active for a new player. This is also exactly how things use to work and they would add new worlds every so often for players.

Currently there is a world with only 40 players.
Currently all but seven worlds are under 200 players.
Currently only two worlds are over 1,000.

Yeah, we truly need more servers -.-
