I agree with the other 90% of posters on this forum, it is time for seperate prices for EOC and OSRS. Why should we have to pay for upkeep on a game we don't even play? This is just the big guys at jagex's plan to secure money for sever upkeep on RS3 by forcing people who love old school to pay for it. It is time for the prices to be seperated.
I also agree with the others on this being the time for true F2P to be introduced to OSRS. Sure you may lose a few member accounts but most of the people who are already members would stay members. You also need to consider the amount of players OSRS would have. I'm sure within a few weeks our player base would far surpass RS3. Thats really the main reason why they have the amount of players they have today. With F2P comes advertisements for non-members and more income to help pay to run OS.
In my opinion these are the best choices that can be made at the current time for the longevity of OS. If the price of membership is going to increase we need separate fees for the two games. We also need true F2P for oldschool and not a two week trial. This is not how you get players to purchase a game. I remember what got me to subscribe back in the year 2007 was playing F2P for several months and then I wanted to try the members expansion of the game and I became hooked from there. Two weeks isn't enough time to decide whether or not you want to pay for a game, and what if you don't? You shouldn't have to, ads will do that for you, of course there will be less content but thats the point. Some people have other things to give there IRL money to. I'm not saying I would un-sub but I would probably make a F2P side account to play along side my members main account. I also know lots of other people who would join and play F2P.
This is just my comments and suggestions on the subject. Thanks.
