Before starting this post, I would like all who are reading to this to know that I have not posted on the forums in years. This price increase is completely unreasonable.
I am quite aware that Jagex is not going to respond the way we want them to about this. I have been so borderline on quitting for months now. They don't understand that me and many other players alike are also on the border. I am becoming quite ready to leave this game for something else.
All of the updates you implement into the game just keep us excited... they will not bring you permanent players. To say that you are "investing" in Runescape and to expect that to calm player's nevers, you are wrong. You WILL lose players from this move. You are stirring up the playerbase and making them more critical.
There are better games, technically speaking than Runescape. Games with exciting combat, amazing graphics and great storylines. Many of these games cost more than Runescape, but many of them cost less and in some cases are even free.
It doesn't make sense to me where you would need all this money. I assume there are at least 200,000-400,000 players subscribed to Runescape currently. That means anywhere from *2-3 million dollars per month, not counting Squeal, Solomon's Store, FunOrb, Premier Club, bonds, F2P Advertising, Website Advertising, etc. etc. etc.
How many people are on the payroll for OSRS?
I clicked on your post about the membership price changes expecting a price drop. You guys are freaking ridiculous.
