So you're going to be raising the prices, and since the announcement, nothing has been done to handle the server stability issues?
I really want to get a Lava cape, something I never did in preEOC. But I'm not going to risk an attempt when I'm being DCed three times a day. I've been loving Oldschool, its the game I wanted to play back when I was a teenager and its the same now as a 21 year old. As a small business owner, I understand you have to up prices at times. But you need to give the consumer something in return. If you have to up prices, and you can't up the quality by a noticeable margin, then you have a failed product, service, or business model.
Okay, up the price or membership, why not give us two member accounts? I mean Wow allows you to have what, 8 toons per server for a single membership? Or at least stabilize the servers. I'm sick and tired of paying for RS3 development when Oldschool is given scraps. I don't play EOC, I don't want to play EOC. I want to play runescape, not a wow clone that charges for every single character you want to play.
Or how about allowing those of us that love oldschool and want it to thrive, pay directly to the oldschool dev costs, on top of existing membership. If I was sure my money was going to the development of the game I want to play, then I would be more willing to pay more. But as it is now, its like paying for a four course meal, when all you eat is the meat dish.
At this point, I'm facing an ultimatum. As a business owner, I understand the economic challenges to a degree. But as a consumer, if I have to pay more for a service that I'm already upset with, I don't know how long I'll continue to use said service
So to boil down my feelings on this, I don't mind a price increase, as long as I see tangible increases in game quality. But as I see it now, it probably won't be worth it. And to have to fund EOC when I don't even log onto it, its pretty disheartening.
Oh well, there are always private servers to get my fix.
