When i saw the spoiler for the ACB spec i immediately went to use it and said "God i hope there's a bird sound when i shoot it, that'll make it complete".. and well.. I
did
get what i wanted.. but it wasn't as magestic as i thought. It was the sound of Kree meleing me and i often associate that sound as a bad thing. Make it sound like a higher pitched "Eagle Eye" prayer activation. The Kree sound just sounds really ugly lol, otherwise, 9/10!
And its current model is fine. Everyone is complaining about it looking like a hunter's crossbow.. I (and i know many people that can agree) have never seen a hunter's crossbow and have been playing this game since 2005. I thought the osrs acb was 100% original model when it came out. People just want a change, they aren't actually concerned that it looks like an item they've never seen before.
Also, the issue with splashing is that you had a combat-triangle of xp-gaining in place.
Randoms prevented afking, bots prevented randoms, botbuster prevented bots.
You took out randoms but never addressed what would substitute their afk-preventing abilities. I know that the forced inactivity timer of 5-minutes has already been polled, but that's really the only answer. Repoll that question given the new circumstances. There was no reason to have that in place when it was polled, now it has demand.
If we want to address nmz and splashing directly:
-remove splash xp for strike-spells only
-make barrows degrade twice as fast in nmz OR their effects happen half as often (preferably the former)
It must be dealt with. It's the same as botting, really. I wouldn't mind it if we could confirm that they did something at least once every 15 mins.
I've never stooped to splashing or afk nmz, and not a single xp from my 89 magic is from grind-alching. I find the integrity of how xp is gained sacred, and this is just stepping on that.
It doesn't matter how slow it is, getting xp while being away for 6 hours is wrong.
