Smoking Kills? :)

We can't recreate the quest itself, but a lot of the reward features that came from it could be created in some form.
And I'm guessing it wasn't the quest's dialogue and puzzles you wanted anyway.

Slayer is awesome, my favorite skill in RuneScape. I suppose the points system is balanced enough and was a fair update, just be careful not to make things too easy.
Long live the Wilderness. Long live risk vs reward in PVM. Long live 2006.

well if this helps -

they way i thought about my idea was:
the varrock slumbs would be sorta like the start-out area for beginners to agility ; 1 -10ish.

then scaling up to different regions depending on the level range of the monsters in that region. for example: the canfis will probably be scaled for levels 40 - 50, because the monsters around the area from the trapdoor to the town are around levels 40-50.

after the monsters of a certain region get over level 99; i believe it should become this sorta concept:
-"if you can manage to make it over to that region without dying, you can take-part in the training at that course"

-Of course, the agility level required would be 90+, because we obviously cant level it up past 99.

here are some of the places i have compiled that can be modded with climbable walls:

-Catherby
-Seers Village

*building around ardougne market* - (this area has a very big arsenal of buildings, i recommend using this area!)

-Druid houses in taverley

-Bandit camp in the desert
-Yannile
-Port phasmatys
-rimmington
-Lletya

and for those of you who like it dangerous...
-Bandit camp in the wilderness

thank you for reading ,

Congrats on your ideas comeback and surge ahead

Presenter of the idea: Storm Atronach D:

EDIT: Though I would like to add that Ash, you really should keep note of the Atronach/Soul Catcher concepts for when you have time, or in the event the agility idea doesn't reach 75% in the next poll.

Cheers

Chris

Nah it wasn't the quest dialogue or anything, wouldn't mind it being different. Could we have a new quest (Same name, hopefully?) and the same rewards? I'd like it to be as close as possible. :)

I kind of, sort of, agree with some of what your saying. I think 2 0 0 6 made a good suggestion when it comes to having a chest to receive some sort of reward as I'm not sure if there would be any reward from an npc for being on the roofs. My biggest issue is I personally viewed Varrock rooftops as low level content. I can see that you did too! What I mean is, you also thought that Varrock seems like it would be a place for low level content. If this were high level content, I think it should be in a place that is not easily accessible. Whether it be a difficult quest or something that requires a major risk.

A major concern of mine is a "rebalancing" of agility, much like when ivy or runespan was introduced into Runescape. I'm worried that the other courses, some of the best, will become obsolete and the agility skill will be reduced to a network of rooftops. That seems to be the worst case scenario though. I do have faith that our small team implements updates carefully, avoiding anything that could catastrophically alter a skill. However, there has been no information provided onto where this content will be implemented, the experience rates, or the accessibility of it. Personally, a high level course in Lletya that coincides with the experience rates advanced courses provided seems ideal to me. It's extremely difficult for me to vote on something that is so vaguely presented in the write-up provided. I'm also curious that if this is added, if it will be the last agility update that we will see for a long time.

AGILITY UPDATE WOOO! I feel it needs some more explaining though if it isn't a shortcut.. i didn't get the idea it'd be a course which i'd be happy with anyway! More xp than Dorgesh Kaan would cause complaints but that doesn't mean it can't be the same! I'd like a new course :P Anyway im looking forward to see how this'll work..

I like the idea, but i don't really understand the benefit unless it's a new agility course with semi decent experience rates.

There should be some lootable chests on top of the roofs with maybe some random weight reducing items and perhaps very rare "potent" super energy pots that restore energy continuously for 30 seconds.

There should be a 75-85+ agility requirement for the weight reducing items, for sure.

Weight reducing items like agile armour would be perfect! Although we're not capable of getting it exactly like that look so it'd be strange to see how it'd work.. And yes a very high requirement 85-90+ to wear would be good, something to hopefully encourage people to train more agility not stop at 70 mostly! And i'd be fine with lootable chests although it leans more towards thieving for me. :P

They managed to introduce the best combat exp in the game in complete safety via Nightmare Zone so I'm not entirely sure they can be trusted in balancing things.
