The only thing which is smouldering is Jagex's charred good will. OSRS doesn't need MTX to survive. Nor does RS3. Jagex is just making as much money as possible while they still can. Legitimately disgusting.
Thoughtcrime doesn't entail death. Thoughtcrime IS death.

Bonds, from both RS3 and OSRS are likely Jagex's largest source of revenue. I would imagine with OSRS' having the most active players, the revenue they make from OSRS bond sales should easily rival RS3 Treasure Hunter, Solomon, and Bond sales.

Agreed - bonds actually grow the community too by allowing more people to get membership while treasure hunter eats away at it over time in my view. Solomon is largely a nonissue for me personally.

Somebody at Jagex should weigh the pros and cons of reducing or removing treasure hunter because I think they might be surprised at the outcome - there is no reason why there can't be two successful Runescapes with communities that like different forms of gameplay :P

1.7m total xp assuming you are using 50 smouldering lamps on a 99 skill with enough bxp on it. That really isn't a lot if you take the high costs of a 450 key package into consideration. Just a little extra on top of those keys, similar to the previous promotion chest when buying 450. 50% extra keys is more worth it if you ask me.
All in all, definitely not an OP package.
Feel free to take a look at my suggestions: 200m xp prestige

Considering level 99 is 13m xp i'd say 1.7m xp is a lot. And you will get enough bonus xp from the keys themselves because its shining prismania (remember when it was just prismania and that was considered bad?). the 50% thing is a different kind of promotion all together. Not to mention this is the first time they're outright selling lamps instead of hiding behind a gambling argument which has its own problems... But some people in this forum have their minds set on ignoring inconvenient facts so enjoy I guess :P
