I mean holiday items are meant to be items to show you partook in a certain holiday event.
The Christmas Crackers were released for everyone to enjoy and they actually have been re-releasing a number of holiday items such as the Rubber Turkey.

So, in the same way the Partyhats could be released again over the holiday, but Partyhats on Treasure Hunter is an even better idea because it helps Jagex strengthen their funding to hire more people to create awesome updates and maintain the game for the future for everyone to enjoy!

Yes and looked what happened to their prices.

So if you want holiday items that are absolute trash and are meaningless, go to osrs.
There's no problem with prices after re-releasing holiday items, clearly it makes it more affordable for many many many more people to enjoy and share the cheerfulness of the holidays!

And, again, one person's junk is another person's treasure, but certainly many more people will treasure Partyhats when they are released again!

That is, as Jokku has put it, the Partyhat cheerfulness value will skyrocket!!!

So, it's ok if the gp value crashes because the cheerefulness value will skyrocket!!

Actually the problem is that flip/merch/investing stuff like partyhats is the problem because it's overpowered and must be nerfed.

Party hats are falsely attributed a price of billions because of market manipulation - both intentionally and unintentionally the party hat market is being manipulated. This results in a game dynamic that is unbalanced: an afk activity such as flip/merch/investing shouldn't outpace the more intense and active activities such as pvm. (Think of the contrast in mining where one engages the rockertunities the rewards are better than afk mining)

So the "profit" of flip/merch/investing is overpowered and it must be nerfed.

Therefore, Partyhats on Treasure Hunter is the answer because it provides multiple wins for both Jagex and massive populations of players!!!

Hence, flip/merch/investing is an overpowered activity and should be nerfed. Recall the numerous times Jagex have nerfed (sometimes even buffed) various things in the game from xp skilling rates to monsters such as Dark Beasts, etc., these were all done to achieve game balance.

So, one of the best ways to nerf flip/merch/investing is to increase the supply of Partyhats, and there are several ways to do this such as, Partyhats on Treasure Hunter!

However, yes, obviously it's much better to be generous and share the cheerful fun of the partyhat parties with everyone, so again, Partyhats on Treasure Hunter helps win that goal as well! 'o.0'
