(Cont.)
"That sounds like fun! Will all the other gods be there?" Marimbo asked excitedly.
"Many of them will make an appearance, but I fear that a few might not be able to show up. I have a little game planned, though, that should be very fun for us all," Sliske explained. "Would you mind assisting me with it?"
"Sure, anything to help. What do you need me to do?" Marimbo asked.
"Come with me," Sliske grinned as he teleported the two of them to the banana plantation deep below the city. Bonzara, one of Marimbo's most devoted disciples, was surprised to see them there.
"Who is this, great Marimbo? And why aren't you still partying?" Bonzara asked.
"This is Sliske, my honored guest. He has a surprise for me, it seems," Marimbo smiled.
"Why don't you take a look at what your statue is holding?" Sliske said with a great grin.
Marimbo looked up and let out a gasp, followed by great, booming laughter. On top of the upward-facing hands of her statue in the center of the plantation sat the Stone of Jas.
"What is the meaning of this, Sliske?" Marimbo asked, still laughing at its absurdity.
"Well, I promised the other gods that one of them could win this at the Eclipse party. I figure this would be a nice place to safely store it until then," Sliske returned the laughter.
In truth, he felt bad for the monkey goddess. The others never really paid her much attention, but Sliske was fond of her carefree lifestyle. Since he knew that the other gods would be too busy with each other to look here, below Marimbo's island, he knew that it'd be safe to keep the Stone of Jas there. Besides, he wanted to humor the goddess and get her involved in his games.
"It fits my statue well. Do you promise that there won't be any angry Dragonkin attacking my island?" Marimbo asked.
"Of course. Try not to use it too much, huh?" Sliske smirked. "I'll talk to you again before the eclipse, to make further plans."
He faded away into the Shadow Realm, pleased with his work.
