You are the lone Bandosian, I remember you.

I already posted on another thread what I think of Bandos and your hopes of seeing him again, but good for you keeping up the mantle all by yourself.

As a Saradominist who fought proudly for Bandos during WE2, I support future Bandos content! I would love a commemorative event to explore his character more.

Would also love some God Sagas about him *HINT HINT*

I am very much looking forward to this idea of God Sagas. I would personally like to explore his ascension. Bandos's Memories is one of the major things I loved about The Mighty Fall. I can just imagine a beautiful slow motion image of Bandos standing there, watching his whole world fall apart.

Bandos and his backstory definitely need more in-game exposure. Yu'biusk was one of the most powerful and advanced planets in the universe and exploring it in its pre-destroyed state would be something I would love to have a quest for.

That being said, I'm afraid that Jagex has many other priorities and might not be at al interested in doing more with Bandos, in fact, it is my belief that their whole reason for killing him off as a character was that he had the most potential to permanently change the political landscape of Gielinor during the Second God Wars. What I mean by that is the following; All
the other gods have eventually been relegated to lore dispensers that sit on their respective thrones and don't do much of anything (think Saradomin in Falador post-endgame, Zamorak in F61, Armadyl in his tower etc.). Bandos would never settle for that. He would have been gunning for as much power as possible, as well as he should. As soon as he had died, his potential had died with it, which allowed Jagex to shelve him forever.

In many ways, I think the same goes for Guthix, by far the god with the most potential to change the metaphorical game. Although Jagex' motivation is markedly different for him (with Guthix dead, the gods could come more to the forefront, actual on-surface open conflict could happen) I would argue that killing him off was, at the very least, a move to steer the game in a different direction. Strangely enough, that direction seems to have been a lot of story interia leading up to a rushed conclusion with Endgame, but I digress.

I love this game and I love its lore, but if you want my opinion, I think neither you nor me should get our hopes up too much. Jagex wants to make smaller, non-God related quests and that's fine on its own but that essentially excludes the storytelling we would like to see.
Guthix never really died. He lives on in all of us.

Suprising they didn't put a few campaigns for a pre-Gielinor Bandos.

Ie:
- taking his prototypes hobgoblins and other races to a world with a few tier 7 demigods that ,ruled as a council. Bandos' army quickly defeats their "armies" (little more than farmers and hunters)
Bandos personally slays the demigod council
- Bandos goes to a world with a beastial god cat (similar to Loarnab). A several day hunt for Bandos to trap and slay it.
- Bandos takes his army to a world lorded over by a godly necromancer.
The war is a "worthy fight" but is a several decades long slog fest as they constantly fight reanimated corpses of the native and their own armies.
The local populace has only known fear and death.
The war could have introduced the concepts of shamans and spiritual warriors to the Bandosian ranks.
War ends as the necromancer god (lower tiet than Bandos) drains most of its power in the defensive war. Its final stand against Bandos is to personally inhabit the remains of a giant beast. Bandos kills it and the spirit of the god.
They leave the dead world behind before finally waging the the ultimate war on Gielinor.

Think at this point the only way to save the Bandosian faction is to assimilate them into the ranks of a new leader such as the Queen of Ash.
They make a great villain faction but they’re leadership is too “dumb brute” to be truly interesting.
Bandos was an intruiging character as he retained all the barbaric characteristics of his followers while maintaining a warriors intelligence and a ruthless cunning.
If they as a faction can find themselves a new charismatic leader that can elevate them to their god wars levels of notoriety they can find their way back into story relevance.
Pudding is my destiny!!!

I am adding to this once again in hopes that if Zanik is being added to taint more Bandosian content again...

I am hoping for more dialogue as shown here.

EDIT: I still absolutely hate her and killed her character off in The Mighty Fall for a reason. I would love to NOT see her in any future Bandosian content. Just to clarify.

A future quest with the name of this post would actually be quite interesting. I wonder if high-ranking Bandosians are up to anything and want to repair the legacy of their former god. Click here for ideas on exploring other worlds, specifically the human homeworld Teragard. This one's me baby
