Don't get me wrong, I don't like Saradomin, but saying he dislikes progress is a real stretch. He demonstrated at the BoL that he's technologically leaps and bounds ahead of the other factions, bringing cyber lions and collosal robots into the fray.
Saying his goal of complete order is futile though is a good point. Chaos happens.

Military advancement is not the same as true progress. Of course Saradomin wants military superiority. It's real societal advancement that allows more independence and individual freedoms that he doesn't want.

Saradomin's things only
look
good. All of that blue paint, gold plating and white stone are appealing to the eye. Sure, he has military advancements. But what are his followers doing? They banish new (and old) magics that they deem "evil", close-mindedly go against anything that they deem "evil" (other religions, hot air balloon), they depend on Saradomin to protect them because they don't have the initiative to help themselves.
Technology isn't the only sign of an advancement either. We could wage war against each other using giant-mechs shooting beam rifles, yet still have a bunch of scattered groups whose only goal is to compete for limited resources against other small groups.
On another note, if the golems (which were invented waaaay long ago) were fighting under any different banner, they would be unholy works of witchcraft.

I was referring to the part of the Guthixian quiz in TWW where you choose to let the earthquake or whatever natural disaster occur for the sake of balance. Zamorak would have also allowed it to happen but he would have done it to allow the denizens of that area be prepared for the next one, not just to maintain balance.
I would say that an earthquake is neither good nor evil, it is part of nature and no god should try to stop nature. It has little to do with chaos.
Also the Guthixian puzzle is a bit artificial. I doubt Guthix would have influenced his actions due the past, in the meaning how relevant his action of the earthquake is for stopping a dictator to arise. Balance isn't that black/white.
I am an avid roleplayer, and use said roleplay wiki. Would you grant me permission to revise the essay as needed and publish it as a paper in in character roleplay? I will give credit, of course.

Absolutely!!!!!
Could you cite me as a Zarosian if it works that way?
EDIT: Maybe... Might need to know more.

And by revise....you mean what exactly? I would be fine with the cheesy transitions to be edited of course but am not sure what else it would entail. I don't want to give it to you and you make a ton of unnecessary changes. I would like to see the revised portion if you do make one as well.

In roleplay, my character is a Zamorakian who has always understood this paradox, and her writing a paper like this would be right up her alley. It would only be edited to look like it was wrote from the perspective of a Gielinorian, and not a player of the game.

Oh, I see. So You will edit it to be in first person form the perspective of a Gielinorian Zamorakian? I would be fine with it as long as the credit is given visibly enough to me.
