"If you believe you can distance yourself from the harm you cause, you're deluding yourself. You're not some mindless tool. You're accountable. Your actions will catch up with you eventually." -Jedi Master Jun Seros; Swtor Bounty Hunter storyline.

This is one of the best threads I've seen around here in a while..
Thanks! I had hoped this thread would have gotten more traffic but what did I expect after giving it a hopelessly boring title and opening it up with a 10,000 word manifesto?

That is not a paradox. It's an inevitability. There is no fundamental contradiction. I have two examples.
Flip a coin.
Heads- get a red apple
Tails- get a red apple
No matter what, the outcome will always be "get a red apple", despite the fact that different events cause you to get it. This is one you could test out.
Ignore Zaros and fate for a moment. No matter what, Owen is brought back to life with a corrupted arm. That's just how it goes. Is that a paradox?
Both examples are inevitabilities, not paradoxes.
The paradox is that you've a false choice, the wrong choice gets manipulated in the right choice. It is not about what
YOU
wish but about Zaros' wish.

And Guthix's philosophy is just as flawed. You should try to stop chaos that arises, not let it fester and grow just because order was previously there, for the sake of balance.
This seems to move on my terrain...
Actually your vision of balance is a bit flawed. It is never just for balance's sakes. Balance is about seeing when order/chaos becomes too dominant and destructive. It is not because op moment A there is order that it should be balanced with chaos. For balance you'll need to see to three things:
1) Time, how long is order/chaos reigning.
2) Place, what places are orderly/chaotic?
3) Effect, chaos has a stronger, immediate effect while order is more long-term.
If you see that order has been too long at the same place and that's its goal has been reached, then balanced people will strive for chaos. It is certainly not the destructive type of Zamorak.

This has nothing to do with Zaros. The paradox is that in order to achieve order Saradomin must destroy chaos, however, in destroying chaos one destroys order. Zaros was never brought up by me.

I was referring to the part of the Guthixian quiz in TWW where you choose to let the earthquake or whatever natural disaster occur for the sake of balance. Zamorak would have also allowed it to happen but he would have done it to allow the denizens of that area be prepared for the next one, not just to maintain balance.
