If they wanted to live a better life, I doubt there's anything stopping them from deserting their little settlement and integrating into another society somewhere else, other than their self-inflicted xenophobia. So you're correct, it's more a matter of moving on than looking back.

Perhaps some day, they can reclaim the holy land...and make Varrock Senntisten again.

Even if that goes beyond a one-off joke I make, they can't take on Varrock's knights, gotta get their numbers up...gotta train themselves (if you're ever going to fight knights, some of them have been trained since adolescence) y'know?

Of course their #1 priority now should be making their way east, for the betterment of their own people, can't reclaim the holy land if you don't improve yourself first.

I don't think they should go back to Varrock; different people cannot exist peacefully side by side, it'd end badly for both the Zarosians and the Saradominists (and the Zamorakians who aren't in jail).
We must secure an existence for Zaros followers and a future for Zarosian children.

I don't really know where I stand. As a follower of Zaros i want him to succeed, but at the same time recent events have opened my eyes to how he has been in the past and while it has not shaken my faith, i also trying to distance myself some so that I will behave in a manner befitting of the World Guardian. Since it is my responsibility to stand between the Gods and Gielinor i have to be willing to make tougher choices, even stopping Zaros from fulfilling his plan if it endangers the Gielinor or its inhabitants


In the current day and age i do not think trying to resurrect the Zarosian Empire would be any better. Zaros does not seem interest in rebuilding it at all
