They aren't going to migrate all the way to the Eastern Lands. They take orders from Azzanadra like sheep. Azzanadra is in charge of the bandits. He decides what to do with them. And what does Azzanadra do with them, you ask? Whatever Zaros tells Azzanadra to do (currently they are tasked to find the Elder Halls.)

If I were you, I would ditch every little care for Zaros completely, and also, pray that all Zarosians realize they need to become responsible for their actions and that they are the ones that write their own destinies, not some purple hooded creep. If not, they will all die blindly walking off a cliff.

Azzanadra's not managing them, he's not even in the desert, he spends most of the time in the Dig Site/searching for the Elder Halls.

I'm not Zarosian, but I still care for some Zarosian NPCs, and I find the plight of the desert bandits to be...interesting. That's why I made this thread.

But going back to my former point, the Zarosian faction isn't focused around being a pompus army like the white knights or the kinshra, nor is it a huddled "Let's keep each other safe!" Community like the Pigeons and the elves, it's a group of very powerful individuals who have stepped beyond the need for godly guidance and instead work "With" Zaros instead of "For" him like the followers of other gods do.

Sure I wouldn't mind a little gathering of Zarosian NPCs to give us some extra lore or flavor text, but it wouldn't make much sense for them to exist.

Hmm...but it'd be great for Zaros to build their own communities, only with their own communities, separate from those who want to genocide them, can they thrive.

Plus, it would make for great lore--the story of the desert bandits leaving the desert for the Loop.

Trying to read the subtext....

Does this mean, recreate Zarosian society where rights and opportunity are restricted to Mahjarrat and chthonics, and every other race is actively vilified?

No.

Resettle in the Loop, in an empty area.

Build their own communities, away from everyone who wants them dead.

Stick to Zarosian traditions, but in the Loop, where there are no Mahjarrats or chthonian demons, there's just Zarosian humans.

The only problem with the Loop is that it may or may not be in proximity of...

XAU-TAK.

Yet people still live there, Dhar Pei has people. There's also pearl trading in that area.

They're descended from those who lived in the greatest empire to ever exist. And there's not that much about them, so this goes into headcannon territory. I say Zarosians are a group that takes pride in their ancestry and they still maintain Zarosian traditions, and they dream of making themselves great again.

The endgoal's reclaiming their traditional lands, including making Varrock Senntisten again, but now they're just scraping by. They have nothing to reclaim their homelands with, no armies or anything. All they can do is wish for a better life, they can make said wish a reality if they move to the Loop.

And why shouldn't they? Every group has a right to preserve their identity and heritage, every group has a right to their own homeland, every group has a right to self-determination.
It really is headcanon, though. The only "tradition" we know they have is a hatred for the younger gods. I doubt they have any clear records of the empire at all, let alone Senntisten itself; you can't reclaim a homeland you don't remember.

This isn't to mention that the empire itself was a means to an end, and its creator considers it a failure not worth repeating. Given that context, what worth is this heritage? If the bandits were able to resurrect some semblance of Zarosian society, it would be pitiful self-congratulation at best.

I concede that it would make for an interesting story thread (assuming the desert bandits were fleshed out beforehand), but I wouldn't endorse the end result as anything particularly worthwhile.
Patrolling Lore FC almost makes you wish for a Great Revision.
