Very interesting read.
From the original post, you've mentioned that most likely our character could have been from a poor family. I think there were/are middle-class people as well since I don't think poor families would afford a piano.

Am I alone that think that our character have suffered some kind of amnesia and he remembers only bits of his past?
I wish there's still the tutorial island and you'd find written "I was sent on an island to learn and train my current abilities." Or something like that. I guess it works just as well at the current tutorial; "I was sent to war at a you age were I have been thought my new found abilities."
Ok maybe I'm roleplaying too much. Quite honest I'd hate to have a past that I hate or don't want to as someone has mentioned. I hate the fact that my player believes that Saradomin created him for example. Maybe we could learn our past through some choices we could make in-game(and perhaps could reset it if we don't like it?).

Thanks for the (late... :P ) answer on the grandmother! Maybe I'll work her in to my character backstory, then.

Reminds me of that apparent line of Lucien's that says 'My daughter is more of a hero than you' or something... and later, as you may or may not know...

...Anyway. Should I or should I not work the brother in... Earlier, perhaps while in bed, I was thinking of the concept of a 'strong' big sister character who might be a knight or paladin or something... Whom I perhaps wouldn't actually add to my story, but if I were to add such a character, I'd prefer it be a sister rather than a brother.

I'd also prefer not to have multiple siblings, so that solution doesn't work...

Original message details are unavailable.

The player thinks Saradomin created him/her, which means the player shouldn't have parents:

The piece of dialogue when denying from the services of the Make-Over Mage? I doubt that the player character actually means that they were created by Saradomin, but is instead using a phrase common in Saradominist kingdoms, and that the player character simply doesn't want to have a magical skin tone/gender change operation. And word-to-word, I think ''I'm happy as Saradomin made me.'' , means: ''Saradomin decided what I look when I was fathered, so I shouldn't do anything to change my appearance, since Saradomin is the god of order and wisdom and above all else: thus, we shouldn't judge our lord's decision he made in his perfection.''

An alternate possibility I'd like to offer is that they were under the impression that their 'second life' was supplied by Saradomin, (a makeover?) 'as Saradomin made me' would then be appropriate. Though I'd expected they'd be well and truly disabused of the notion by now.

They're from Lumbridge, and when he/she heard about the Troll War in Burthrope, he/she went to help the cause, setting forth a series of events that not even they could predict!

Bookmarked. I really love this thread and hope one day we will find out a bit more. I wish I could redo all the quests you mentioned, but of course I have Quest Cape and really don't want to train a new character.

This story has inspired me to write my own Fan Fic, about the adventurer's life before we came in control. I just don't know how I am going to bring it in to present day, with my character being 8 years old, so I started on tutorial island.

And I have to agree that we have lost our memory, though we remember some things. I mean if you go back in every quest. We get knocked out constantly by getting hit in the head.

With the poor thing, I also have to agree. I don't know how it is in the new tutorials, but back in old school we had 25 gold in the bank and we forgot how to do everything.

very nice read. Thank you for writing this for us to read.

I just wish they'd clarify the adventurer's intelligence. bit ridiculous when going from easily being manipulated by Lucien, and other villains, to solving puzzles such as the light temple and the entirety of the Elemental workshop series.
"We call it being a hero"
"That's interesting, we call it utter stupidity"

Well, I'm sure the adventurer learns a lot during his/her adventures.

While they might start out accidentally helping Lucien get the Staff of Armadyl, or killing King Tyras, they get smarter later on in some quests. In While Guthix Sleeps you eventually take charge yourself because the others are all arguing too much. In TWW you, again, take charge during that event, not to mention don't get tricked by Sliske's Guthix disguise.

Lastly, it could be that the adventurer is amazingly good at puzzles, but has a soft-spot for helping anyone who asks, which is why they got manipulated easier in the early quests.
You can only fully appreciate a story when you experience it through the eyes of one of its characters.

I did accidentally help Lucien in Temple of Ikov, but remember you can choose to kill him or not though, same with Hazeel and that quest.

But your also right. Who would fall for a rainbow being in doors?
