V. Bouncing around between gods due to their less-than-savory actions was getting tiring. He can't do that if he's dead! :D

I'd have used the same logic to side with Bandos, but his followers have maintained none of the better parts of his philosophy in his absence, as we see in The Mighty Fall and Nomad's Elegy.
That is... quite an unusual reason for choosing your faction. :P

Hmmm....was it ever confirmed whether Saradomin was a product of Teragardian culture? ...or if Teragardian culture was a product of Saradomin?

Given that Teragard is ruled over by 7 Magisters, I'd say it's more likely the former. I do see it possible that Saradomin comes from one of the noble families of the Magisters and even been one himself. However, Teragard's culture was probably instituted long before Saradomin came about.

Fine, I chose V7 because he discovered Runecrafting and is involved in one of the most intriguing ongoing mysteries in the game, the history of the Stone of Jas in the First to Third Ages. He's also a pretty cool guy in general, and I like the Moon Clan's culture.

Also because I don't care for the other emissaries, e.g. Murknose shouldn't exist, Moldark spews laughable nonsense, Soran is doing quite the opposite of what the actual Zarosians want, etc.
Bizarre Boron Fusswell, scryer extraordinaire. OSRS: POH ideas & RS3 minigames & achievement ideas !

Perhaps you're half right; perhaps we can't win. But we can fight.

Really? I find this very surprising. All through Hero's Welcome, even before we got ahold of his diary, V struck me as a particularly sinister fellow. Not someone trustworthy.

My character signed up with Taw'Paak, mainly because I'm a stubborn bastard. I decided my character was Armadylean back when the Book of Law first came out, since I liked the idea of some weird drifter/vigilante meting out justice according to an iron code that knew no empathy or exception (obviously not my views IRL). I wouldn't have taken that route if Armadyl had been portrayed the way he is now.

Well I chose Zaros for a reason that , based of what you said, may not count. My irl dad. Both him and Zaros are cold, logical, analytical, and in the end only care for them selves , or at least above all otherwise.
Also I like his followers best. And powers! Mwahahahaha!

Why, my dad was just like Saradomin! Violently wrathful, arrogant, convinced he was a good person in spite of all evidence to the contrary...

...And luckily for everyone, he went to meet Saradomin earlier than we could have hoped for. :)

Jeeeesus christ :S

I know, right? That got dark quickly.

Is everything okay, Godwine?

Sorry... I am now. Thank you for your concern.

I looked more at his mortal accomplishments than his divine ones (which were just a number of stories that were references to various real life books or films and Xau-Tak, really). It's more to pay my respects to his deeds than to follow him as some kind of crazy zealot (which wouldn't be right since I am "allied" with Zaros, Armadyl, Saradomin, the Menaphite Pantheon and Seren anyway).

I'm with Zaros. I've been Zarosian since...well...forever.

Before Jagex started to get serious with lore, it was because he was the patron of the best spells and curses/prayers. That sort of cool factor made me really interested in him, plus there was that air of mystery, because you used to know nothing about his philosophy or his goals. Even now that air of mystery still holds--what isn't he telling us? what's his full plan? will he stop at nothing to become an Elder god? what's his actual motive for Elder godhood? The questions go on and on. I'm also fascinated by how alien he is, like how he doesn't care one bit for revenge. I wanna delve deeper into his psyche.

Definitely Armadyl. I know his lore is lacking currently and there are more instances of rivals currently calling him a hypocrite then an actual exploration of how he operates and justifies his behavior, but I like his idea of justice and peaceful coexistence. I'll admit I was intrigued by him back when Temple of Ikov was all we had to go off of, but since the expansion of his lore and followers, I have grown to like him even more.

My headcanon likes to believe Armadyl is a god who fights for ideals that reality will always seek to deny. I believe he knows this, but continues to fight none the less because these ideals lead to good results. Am I reading into his philosophy as it has so far been confirmed? possibly, but that does not stop my support of his emissary.
