8) OTHER
¤
This chapter is about everything else.

8.1) Artefacts

8.1.1) Elder Artefacts

¤
Stone of Jas
- The most powerful Elder Artefact, resembling Jas, own egg. Alternative names given to it throughout history include "Fist of Guthix", "Eye of Saradomin", "Cabbage of a Thousand Truths" and "The Catalyst". Touching the Stone grants one massive powers and excessive use can lead to ascension to godhood. The Dragonkin are cursed to protect the Stone, destroying the "False Users" to cool their rage. Users of the Stone include Guthix, V------, the Kethsians, Zamorak, Saradomin and Lucien. It is currently in Sliske's hands.

¤
Staff of Armadyl
- A staff also known as "The Siphon" that serves as a conduit for energy and increases the wielder's magical potency as well. It was once protected by the aviantese, but the Guardians of Armadyl have since taken over, keeping it in the Temple of Ikov (until Lucien came along anyway). It was used by Zamorak to defeat Zaros at the end of the Second Age, and by Sliske to kill Guthix at the end of the Fifth. Other users include - of course - Armadyl, Guthix and Lucien. It is currently in Sliske's hands.

¤
Elder Kiln
- A large lava furnace created by Ful that spawns TokHaar, volcanic creatures who would fulfill the elder gods' orders, building mountains and the like. Upon death, they would return to the sacred lava to be reforged by the kiln. It is also indirectly responsible for the creation of a number of statues around the world, who would face a statue located near Entrana, "The Sleeper", there to warn people about the Stone of Jas' protectors. The Kiln is currently located deep inside the Karamja Volcano. Zamorak attempted to use it to summon himself an army at the very beginning of the God Wars, but failed when the man he had sent for this purpose, Perjour, died.

¤
Horn
- A horn with unknown properties. It was used by Guthix when he found Gielinor, and came into the possession of Quin toward the end of the Fifth Age, who used it to control the sea monsters. It is likely still on the Wushanko Isles, but this is speculation.

¤
Sword
- A large blade that can be used to open portals to other places, not unlike the wings of white dragons. It was used by Skargaroth to fight Tuska during the god wars on Naragun, and subsequently by Guthix to kill Skargaroth. It was shattered when Guthix cut too deep with the sword, piercing The Void, after which he kept its remains in his underground temple.

*
Crown Archival
- An artefact that is worn on the head and is able to roughly locate the location of any other artefact. It has been in Saradomin's possession for more than 12,000 years and can be found on his glorious head.

¤
The Measure
- A stick that can measure levels of anima, used as an "animameter" by the elder gods while they were creating worlds from sacred clay. It was on Freneskae until an adventurer used it to shape Zaros a new body in the Sixth Age and took it with them to Gielinor.

8.1.2) Other artefacts

¤
Barrows armour
- Powerful sets of armour and weapons with powerful effects in combat. They are said to grant one their desire in combat, and come from distant lands. Sliske gave them to the Barrows Brothers to use in the Morytania Campaign.

¤
Barrows icon
- A statuette of unknown origin that has the ability to store prayer energy. It was given to Sliske by Azzanadra in the Third Age, who had his wights the Barrows Brothers safekeep it until the end of the Fifth Age, when an adventurer in Azzanadra's service retrieved it so that it could be used to contact Zaros. It currently resides in the Senntisten Temple.

*
Chalice of Eternity
- A magical liquid-filled goblet found in the tomb of King Baxtorian that serves as a trap for treasure hunters. According to King Lathas Ardignas, the Dark Lord forced his brother to drink from the chalice, corrupting him. While this was a lie, drinking from the chalice may or may not yield these effects.

¤
Enchanted key
- A magical key that changes temperature depending on its proximity to certain treasure. It was originally in the possession of Drozal, one of the Zamorakians who caused the Dreaded Years of Tragedy, who passed it on to his children until eventually his great grandson Erin gave it to an adventurer. Later, the historian Jorral figured out how to use the key for time travelling and the adventurer used it to visit the First Age.

¤
Frostenhorn
- A magical horn named by a Fremennik who saw its effects at Ghorrock that amplifies the energies that surround it. For example, it caused the fortress and dungeons of Ghorrock to freeze over, reacting on the cold environment. It is currently in the Senntisten Temple and was used by Azzanadra to contact Zaros.

¤
Godsword
- A legendary blade created by the aviantese in the late Third Age for the Bandos-Armadyl-Saradomin alliance to kill Zamorak. The blade's delivery was intercepted by the latter's demons, however, and all four factions engaged in a large battle in the Temple of Lost Ancients in order to obtain the blade and emerge victoriously. The cavern was frozen by the mage Aeternam at the end of the God Wars, but tectonic activity caused it to thaw in the Fifth, and now the battle still rages with no side able to get their grips on the legendary blade.

¤
Golden Boots of Arkaneeses
- A set of legendary boots which Sir Percival was looking for before he became King of the Fisher Realm.

¤
Golden Monkey of Tee-Tah-Toh
- Supposedly an ancient Karamjan artefact guarded by undead and tribesmen in a cave beneath the island. But given that this comes from Asgarnia Smith, it may not be true.

¤
Holy Grail
- A golden, jewel-encrusted chalice with magical properties. It was formerly located in the Realm of the Fisher King, with the Knights of the Round Table from Britain rotating the TokHaar-created statues facing The Sleeper to face the route to the realm's entrance instead. An adventurer in King Arthur's service retrieved it for him in the Fifth Age, although it was later stolen by Morgan Le Faye albeit briefly. It is now presumably stored in Camelot.

¤
Kharid-ib
- A huge, sapient diamond from the Kharidian Desert whose name means "Heart of the Sun". It was in a vault of the emir of Al Kharid until used as ransom to free the kidnapped prince from Amascut in the late Fifth Age. The goddess of destruction now has the diamond and apparently has desired it for a long time. It has the ability to take control of creatures and talk or act through them.

¤
Pool of Visions
- A stone, water-filled bowl held by an animated ourg statue in Bandos' throne room. It can be used to view locations at its user's discretion. Bandos used it to watch his followers on Gielinor after destroying Yu'biusk and was able to contact Hopespear through the pool during the Battle of the Plain of Mud, passing his commandments to him. Later, in 5.169, when Zanik had been abducted by Bandos to his throne room for her to find his pendant, she used the pool to call for help and was heard by Andil outside the Dorgesh-Kaan nursery. The Pool of Visions remains in the throne room, but has not been used since.

¤
Relic
- A small stone that serves as a catalyst for holy power. It was originally a Zarosian artefact, but the monks of Entrana later took it for themselves. It was retrieved by an assassin for Azzanadra at the end of the Fifth Age and subsequently used to contact Zaros; it increased the rate at which the Barrows icon released its energy, which the Frostenhorn then amplified. All three artefacts are currently in the Senntisten Temple.

¤
Ring of Charos
- A magical brown ring which has the ability to charm weak-willed minds and bend their will. It was originally used by Charos, Lord Drakan's human advisor in the late Fourth Age. However, he attempted to use it against master at some point, but it obviously had no effect. Charos was punished but his exact fate remains unknown; he may have been killed or vamp*rised. His ring fell into the hands of the Lords of the North Coast and was passed on through several generations until the murder of Lord Rologarth, when Doctor Fenkenstrain took the ring for himself, which prevented the Canifian werewolves from perceiving him as a human. An adventurer, in turn, stole it from him and had its original powers activated by Dionysius.

¤
Sacred clay
- This clay is the substance from which all worlds in the multiverse have been made. The elder gods used it as a building material when crafting planets, collecting the clay from the Primordial Realm. It was also used by the TokHaar to mould the planets' landscapes and mountains. Quite a number of imperfect worlds were discarded by the dissatisfied elders, after which the sacred clay was stashed inside the Abyss.

¤
Shield of Arrav
- A very powerful shield that allows its wielder "power over all races". It was created on a plane other than Gielinor, although the Imcando dwarves somehow came to guard it. Zemouregal invaded Avarrocka in the Fourth Age in order to obtain the shield, but thanks to the hero Arrav and a grandson of one of the Elders of Avarrocks, who used the shield to annihilate the Mahjarrat's undead army, he failed. The shield was kept in the city for centuries until an internal feud in a criminal organisation caused it to be split in two. Zemouregal's cousin Lucien later attempted to obtain it with his own invasion of Varrock, but failed. Likewise, Zemouregal's second invasion, which took place shortly after the shield's restoration, was stopped by the shield's usage. It is currently kept in Varrock Museum.

¤
Silverlight
- A steel sword forged around the beginning of the Fifth Age that has been magically enchanted to be extremely potent against demons. In 5.20, when the demon Delrith was summoned, Wally Prysin, who had been helping in the construction of Varrock Sewers, used Silverlight to defeat Delrith and banished him back to Infernus using a special chant he had learnt. It would then be kept in a crypt beneath a chapel in Varrock, guarded by spirits of the sword's wielders who chose to judge anyone who sought to claim the sword with a set of trials.

Many, such as the monk and scholar Gideon Bede and Wally's great-grandson Ehntor, have failed. In 5.169 Denath, a trapped form of Agrith Naar the weather demon, and his cult attempted to summon Delrith once more, having stolen a tome of demonology which contained the necessary chant, but he was slain by an adventurer wielding Silverlight. Later, they used it to kill Agrith Naar himself, staining the sword with his blood and turning it into Darklight.

¤
Soul obelisk
- A stone artefact created by Nomad, a powerful soul sorcerer, which absorbs soul energy of slain creatures and funnels it into Nomad's massive underground throne, which, in turn, is used to "charge" its user - Nomad - with large amounts of soul energy. It is located in the middle of Soul Wars Island.

¤
Statue of Dalgroth
- An ancient ogre relic in the form of a statuette resembling the ogre warrior Dalgroth.

¤
Wand of Resurrection
- The severed horn of Elora the Lifegiver, a centaur whose kindness granted her the power to restore the dying, acts as a powerful wand that can resurrect the recently slain from the dead. However, this only works if its holder is virtuous and pure of heart; otherwise the victims will return as undead, or partly undead. It was originally used by Elora to resurrect the centaurs who had fallen in the God Wars but her sister Fern's demands eventually caused her to die of exhaustion, after which the sorrowful Fern cut off the horn to continue using it, but she was not virtuous enough. The wand was placed under protective wards in the Tomb of the Fallen at some point, but the Kinshra tried to obtain it using the Holy Book of Saradomin stolen from Falador during Lord Sulla's siege. This plan failed, however, and the wand is currently in the possession of Saradomin himself.

World Gate
- Also known as the "Portal of Life". It is a large portal created by Guthix using the sword Elder Artefact to easily travel between realms, regardless of the dimensional distance between them. It was used to populate Gielinor, and later served Seren and her elves as a permanent passage to and from their homeworld Tarddiad. In the Second Age, Zaros saw use in the World Gate, which would allow him to more easily travel the Multiverse in search of knowledge and followers, and took it from Seren, concealing it in the Shadow Realm. It was also used by Elder Mage Etheron at some point. It is currently located between the entrance to the Arandar Pass and Char's Cave.
