In 1895, the rorari, coordinated soldiers with bounds minds as well, were created and in 1902 the scutarii, nearly invincible warriors with strong shields. In 5.17, the healing capsarii followed. In 167, the Legiones led prayers to Guthix but were punished, although they resisted. Two years later, after the death of Guthix, the order went completely out of control as they began to kidnap humans from Yanille and other settlements, turning them into Ascended as well and trying to literally build a new Guthix, something which Ocellus could neither foresee nor prevent.
¤ The
Order of Heroes
is a small subdivision of the Royal Army of Ardougne. The order consists of a small amount of very powerful warriors clad in extremely rare rune armour, and can be found around East Ardougne. During the Ardougne Revolution, they fought for the Ardougne City Council and took over Ardougne Castle with the Knights, battling paladins and warrior women.
¤ The
Order of the Talon
are an order of knights dedicated to helping people and slaying dangerous monsters.
¤ The
Praetorians
were the secret police of Senntisten at the height of the Zarosian empire. Their prefect was the devious Mahjarrat Sliske, and the Mahjarrat Trindine served under him.
¤ The
Rammernaut Guard
are an organisation of heavily armed troops who guard some of the floors beneath Daemonheim for Bilrach. Their leader is the rammernaut Hoskins, who was corrupted and mutated on the deepest, warped floors of Daemonheim and became a terrifying monster.

Lord Drakan
are followers of Morgan Le Faye, a sorceress from Britain and nemesis of King Arthur. They are based in Keep Le Faye south-west of Catherby. Their leader is Morgan's son Sir Mordred. In 169, the Renegade Knights attacked the Knights of the Round Table and imprisoned them and Merlin, while the Kinshra took care of King Arthur and Morgan and the Sinclairs took over Camelot. An adventurer helped the knights escape from prison, and in a battle with the Renegade Knights they reclaimed Camelot before releasing King Arthur from the Kinshra's fortress.
¤ The
Royal Army of Ardougne
is the primary military force of Ardougne. There are vast differences between the divisions of the West and the East. The army of King Thoros uses swords and have a purple cloth with a star of Saradomin on it. They have more traditional knight helmets. The Eastern division can be found wandering all over East Ardougne, most prominently in the castle and around the marketplace, aiding the regular city guards combat theft. During the Ardougne Revolution, they fought for the Ardougne City Council and took over Ardougne Castle with the heroes, battling paladins and warrior women, believing that the King Lathas only has the right to rule so long as the council agrees, per the constitution. The charge was led by Sir Edmond. The army then invaded West Ardougne and evicted the mourners. Meanwhile, the men of King Tyras, led by General Hining, had all been stuck in their camp in Isafdar, constantly moving to avoid being tracked down by the Iorwerth Clan. They use halberds in battle and wear steel armour with a blue cloth over it, along with full face helmets with "mohawks", and they had a catapult at their disposal.

The Tyras Army had been at stalemate with the Iorwerths until the Ardougne Revolution, when they were asked to attack the Iorwerth Camp to create a distraction for Lord Iorwerth. This succeeded, although the deaths during the battle were a major factor in the Dark Lord's ability to manifest itself in the Grand Library. Nevertheless, the Iorwerths were defeated and King Thoros and the Elven Elders agreed to turn the last Tyras Camp into a permanent settlement.
¤ The
Royal Guard
are the primary military force of the Gnome Empire. They are currently at war with Khazard, led by Commander Montai. The Royal Guard are known to make use of special military gnome gliders, ballistas and catapults and terrorbird mounts. The 10th Squad are an elite group of soldiers of the Royal Guard. In 169, they were ordered to oversee the decommissioning of Glough's shipyard on Karamja, which he had intended to use to build an armada to fight the human kingdoms, but they were blown of course and captured by the monkeys of Ape Atoll, who were being manipulated by Glough's men. They were rescued, however, and helped defeat Glough's jungle demon. Members of the 10th Squad are Sergeant Garkor, Zooknock, Karam, Lumdo, Bunkdo, Lumo, Bunkwicket, Carado and Waymottin. The Royal Guard have an Armoured Tortoise Regiment, trained by Nacklepen and led by Lieutenant Schepbur.
¤ The
Sagittare Archers
are an organisation of masked bowmen who guard some of the floors beneath Daemonheim for Bilrach. Their captain is the sagittare Bolton.
are an ancient knight order founded by Saradomin himself during the God Wars. Today, they are closely allied with the White Knights, although they do not share their over-chivalrous code of honour. The Temple Knights are different from the White Knights in that they are a more secret organisation, and engage in espionage, surveillance, assassination, research and matters like that. They have a huge network presumably beneath Falador where the headquarters are located, as well as their archives (although a crash-landing dragon destroyed part of them). Their chief librarian is Elissa van Lendes aka Savant, Senior Mystical Researcher. The Temple Knights make use of various magical gadgets, such as commorbs, which allow for area scanning and communication with the HQ. They keep detailed records of many dangerous or powerful individuals in the world, including Lord Daquarius, Solus Dellagar, Dionysius and Harold Death, but also their own agents. To be eligible for joining the Temple Knights, an applicant must be a White Knight and contacted by the Temple Knights' recruiters. They have several knight ranks, which appear to be the same as those used by the White Knights; in ascending order Initiate, Proselyte, Acolyte and Partisan. In the Fourth Age, they were the ones to stop Mother Mallum in a great crusade, which saw many of the order succumb to the slugs' mind control. They were also present at the Edgeville Incident, arriving to stop Dellagar and suffering heavy losses. In 169, they allied with the Guardians of Armadyl and Crux Eqal to stop Lucien. One of their agents, Silif, assistant to the Temple Knight liaison priest Akrisae Kolluym, infiltrated the Kinshra catacombs, but was captured. A squadron of Temple Knights later marched to the Mahjarrat Ritual Site only to be intercepted by General Khazard and his army. The two fought but few if any combatants on either side survived, apart from the leaders.

That same year, they helped the Void Knights track down a missing pest, an operation which soon escalated as the Kinshra and the White Knights became involved. When it was founded out one man was behind all the trouble, the four knight orders entered an alliance to stop him, the insane wizard Melville Grayzag. A few months later, during the Battle of Lumbridge, two Temple Knights were sent to infiltrate the Kinshra's fortress in an attempt to stop their plan to obtain the Wand of Resurrection. One of them, Sir Owen, died, but was resurrected by Saradomin himself using the wand, albeit as partly undead. The Temple Knights' Head of Operations and effective leader is currently Sir Vey Lance, who would convey Saradomin's messages to the order while he was barred from interfering with the world by the Edicts of Guthix. Their Head of Recruitment is Sir Tiffy Cashien, an old but still very capable knight. Other Temple Knights include Colonel Jake O'Niall (retired), Lady Table, Miss Cheevers, Miss Hynn Terprett, Sir Owen Sonde (formerly), Sir Gerry, Sir Kuam Ferentse, Sir Leye, Sir Ren Itchood, Sir Spishyus, Sir Tin(l)ey, Sir Tendeth and Lady Eva Cashien.

are the main military force of Varrock, although there are also many knights in the court and the VPS(G} exists to protect the palace specifically. They act as policemen, bodyguards, overseers, gatekeepers, etc. Casualties in the line of duty are high, as evidenced by the existence of the Varrockian Guards' Widows & Orphans Fund. The captain of the guard is Milo Rovin.
¤ The
Varrock Palace Secret Guard (VPS(G})
are a secret organisation tasked with protecting the Varrock Palace. Their commander is Rat Burgiss, and Zaff, a merchant, is also known to be a member. In 5.169, they ordered Surok Magis, who had obtained the necessary items to put King Roald under mind control, allowing the Dagon'hai to rule Misthalin, to yield, which he refused. The adventurer who had unwittingly aided Surok witnessed as the wizard took control of the king. They weakened the king in battle and summoned Zaff, who removed the mind control and incapacitated Surok. He would remain under the Guard's watch in the Varrock Palace Library, but escaped regardless. Another member is Emma, who makes tea for them.

are a Guthixian military order, balancing out the pacifist druids. They were originally active during the God Wars, but at some point disbanded. In 5.15, Dracs Melrose was visited in a dream by Guthix and was told to reform the ancient order in the light of a future threat. He did so and became the first admiral of the new Void Knights. In 98, the King of Asgarnia restricted the Void Knights to Taverley as they were not followers of Saradomin. In 149, the Void Knights finally acted: unbeknownst to them, the mental wizard Melville Grayzag began experimenting with portals on abandoned islands in the Unquiet Ocean, from which void pests invaded. Admiral Boyce Khael sent his young Commodore Matthias and the Void Knights to construct an outpost north of the epicentre of these invasions, while he himself remained in Taverley to meet the political demands. The Void Knights began to fight the void pest invasions, with hundreds of knights dying. It was not until 169 that Grayzag set his final plan to summon the Pest Queen herself in motion. By manipulating a student from the Wizards' Tower, Jessika, who was researching the pests, he obtained a void leech, which he gave to the Kinshra as part of his plan. When the Void Knights sent a lander to retrieve the escaped pest, he and his pests killed all aboard including Matthias, with the exception of Commander Korasi.

Captain Tyr succeeded Matthias as commodore, while Admiral Dorel Ellerian remained unseen. The Kinshra produced massive amounts of the leech's life force-sapping goo to conquer Falador, but were betrayed when Grayzag stole their supplies and used it to incapacitate the Valluta, a Guardian of Guthix. By this time, the White and Temple Knights had been involved and Jessika had figured out what was going on, with the exception of Grayzag's identity. The Kinshra and the other three knight orders forged an alliance to stop Grayzag and confronted him. After a battle in Valluta's domain, which saw the death of the Pest Queen, Grayzag was at last defeated. However, his experiments had done permanent damage: there were too many portals for the Valluta to close, meaning the Void Knights had to continue their vigil. Known Void Knights, apart from aforementioned officers, are Captain Ethar and the knights Ami, Bernard, Diana, Dorian, Gord and Mikhal. There are also many squires, such as Sam. The Void Knights' and squires' families also live on the outpost.
¤ The
White Knights
are an order of devout Saradominist knights based in Falador and arch nemeses of the Zamorakian Kinshra. The order was founded at the end of the Fourth Age. They, along with the Kinshra, helped King Raddallin unite the human tribes and form Asgarnia and came to inhabit the city of Falador as it expanded from a village. Since then the White Knights have become the primary military force in Asgarnia. They are closely allied with the Temple Knights, although the latter do not share their extremely strict code of chivalry. The knights live in celibate and retired knights can find a home in an almshouse in Falador. To become a knight, one must first train under a squire as a peon before training under a knight as a squire for at least five years.

In 5.163, after the Edgeville Incident during which many White, Black and Temple Knights died to Solus Dellagar, their leader Sir Amik Varze, the replacement for King Vallance as the old king became too ill to rule, declared that the Kinshra have no more political power in Asgarnia, to which Lord Milton declared war on them. The White Knights fought then in the Battle of North Falador, the Siege of Falador during the War of 164, and later the Dawn Ascent, the battle against Grayzag's pest queen and the Battle of Lumbridge. They also have the position of master-at-arms. Known White Knights are Sir Balladish, Bhuler, Sir Erical, Sir Finistere, Sir Justrain, Sir Loyns(t) Ayke, Sir Marius, Nicolas Sharpe, Sir Owen Sonde, Sir Pallas, Sir Pent, Sir R(e)brum, Sir Remony, Sir Render, Sir Renitee, Sir Rial, Sir Rillic, Sir Rinch, Sir Rogate, Sir Rownd, Sir Ruppe, Sir Theodore Kassel, Master Troughton, Sir Vant, Sir Vey and Sir Vyvin, although quite a number of these are no longer alive.
¤ The
Wilderness Mercenaries
were a group of organised mercenaries based in the Wilderness. They were hired by Lord Sulla of the Kinshra to fight for him in the Siege of Falador but suffered heavy losses.
