I see it the other way, that he still has some semblance of humanity under that cold, blue exterior. If there was no one he still retained that level of compassion for then I'd be worried.

I hate to say it but we might have to exploit this if we ever want to get Saradomin to listen to us.

It "failed" on Teragard. The Magisters use a false image of Sara to make the people fearful.

In Saradomin's defense, he doesn't know it failed. It worked when he left, and it sounds like it worked for a long time. Unfortunately, bad people eventually got into power and took advantage as best they could. I really want to see Saradomin's reaction to what Teragard has become and how he might fix the corruption. It would also give him a lot to reflect on.

Oh yea, I know haha. I was just making the point, because that's a more obscure bit of lore.

(I low-key want there to be a questline there where we work with Saradomin underground to try and restore order with the Inquisitorial Court, and one or two Magisters ally with us, but one of the Magisters pulls a Chancellor Palpatine, and it basically mirrors the Star Wars Prequels. The finale ends with us killing the Evil Magister, and reintroducing Saradomin as the God in the way he was previously known. When we kill the magister, his hair jumps off his head, and it ends up being some type of animal, and we get a new pet that's name is a pun on Donald Trump.)

It's "obscure" because it's still out-of-game lore. We don't really have a whole lot on Teragard going by the game alone; much of our knowledge comes from JMods. :P Raven (who wrote the One of a Kind lorebook) has plans. I'm definitely looking forward to it. Support for the pet idea

Like I said in my last post, if you get to talk to Saradomin in the end, you can convince him of the wisdom of finding a better path for his Utopia than what he was on. Or at least, that was an option I took (I believe the options were commenting on how great his Utopia could have been or noting the better path, which is a healthier response, I felt).

Did any one else get to talk to Saradomin in their ending over Armadyl?

The main problem with all of these choices is only people who support Saradomin are going to reach a point in quests where they can learn some of these good things and make a positive impact on him.

Well, hopefully replaying the quest down the line will fix that for those curious (Saradomin seems to not get as much love from the quest transcriptors as I would like to be able to quote from...which is a good reason replaying all quests would be nice).

But yeah, I do hope we get a questline in Teragard down the line.

I know. I'm the one who updated the Wiki page with all the RuneFest lore that was revealed at the Lore thing there. (Literally, none of it was added, so I had to go in and do Mazcab and Teragard lore on my own, 3 months after RuneFest ended).

Which really sucks! :@ I've been holding nothing back on criticizing him and going against him when he's in the wrong, not because I hate him, but because I want him to listen to me! Blunt honesty and conflict in the hopes of humbling him. I want to talk to him human to human, not god to minion .

It's the same way I intend to talk to Armadyl. I'm going to call him out on breaking his philosophy in how he treated Bandos not out of spite, but because I want him to realize he was being a hypocrite and to avoid the dark path he's on.

I think Vorago already made that point to him, and Arma said that he's changed... Again.

As unfair as it might be, Saradomin is still rather mortal at his core. By that I mean he's more likely to listen to you if you've been an ally to him in the past. If you've stood against him, even from a moral standpoint, he's more likely to see you as an obstacle than a concerned voice.

And this is the reason why the hash tag #Saradoministlivesdontmatter exists, Saradomin DOES NOT protect anyone but himself.

We've seen this countless times; the Naragi from Tuska, Gielinor from Tuska, Falador during the Black Knight Invasion, Lumbridge after BoL, White Knight being tortured during HW, Tutorial Island residence (Saradomin told me you'd get my book for me LOL!), hell you can go kill his white knights in front of him while he watches.

That faction won't care. Saradomin is spiteful, hatefilled man who only cares about himself. If we get him down on his last legs and he has the chance, I believe we'll see him attempt to take Gielinor down with him.
