Finally someone sees the obvious solution. Gielinor is one world and it's brought nothing but misery to the rest of the universe. It's not worth letting everything else die over.
Even if you want to back Zaros, even if he becomes an Elder, he's outnumbered four against one and he doesn't know how to fight. Heck, the fight between them would destroy Gielinor anyway. May as well destroy it now and make SURE we're safe.
Guys
I just realized
Gielinor is Israel/Palestine/Canaan/The Holy Land/Whatever
It's a wonderful place but there has been so much war over it.
I just read the post below (and this one above). Yes, some of the symbols are easier to recognize than others, I am not sure if that is the exact case, but you might have the right idea. Are we entirely sure that Gielinor exclusively relates, translates, or corresponds to some element in or near that region or in some kind of association with it? (Actually, that would explain the significance of the world gate being centered/near that region.)
I do agree with your statement about war there, but wouldn't attach to much special significance to it especially considering that particular region exclusively as it is a crossroads of many continents, civilizations, trade, and religious birthplace/holy places, etc.--there is bound to be some friction.

I realized too...
Saradomin: Extremist Christianity
Zaros: True-er Christianity (Focused on balance in one's self, always preparing for the end, and Zaros having "alien philosophies" being akin to Jesus having a dynamically different way of thinking for his time, and they're both very influential...)
Zamorak is atheism/secularism, because he's always misunderstood as either anarchic freedom or vile revolution.
Armadyl is a pure form of community-ism, where there is no inherent leader, but the collective lives in peace after a great war.
Bandos is capitalism, as all of his success is compared to physical gaining (victories, kill count, army size, land owned, etc). He is only a tactician and never really fought, resembling how a person can go into business and never do any "real work" and still get paid.
Every time I see different god associations it makes me wonder whether someone got it right, as some traits may be so similar it could have many interpretations, but the ideas are flowing! Good thinking!

We have to at least try to come up with a solution and do something. Apart from the reasons others have given, if Gielinor dies, then the same problems may arise in or extend to the rest of the universe or multiverse too ...
I have a confession to make. Part of it is my fault. I too have been spreading hate, and even mind controlling whole groups of people, even manipulating time. I have to apologize for my faults. I am sorry.
It is kind of late here; I may or may not go to sleep soon; sometimes it is hard to sleep with all the excitement, thoughts, missed regular sleep time, etc.
