Nothing justifies the genocide of entire planets with the exception of those that kneel before a power deemed higher by no one but itself. And calling attempts of reconcilition and peace, misguided and naive, doesn't help it. He is quite literally obsessed with control and that notions of free will are nothing but illusions.

Paraphrasing here, his notion of free will is attributing a designated place in society to each and every person, since apparently we all crave to be controlled on a subconcious level.

That's delusional and fascism at its core. A totalitarian state such as that, breeds nothing but dissent.
Fear not the Abyss but the boundaries broken by it.

That sounds like headcanon. I do not recall him ever saying that in Endgame.
We sleep soundly in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm.

Oh but he did, if you explored all of the options available he presented that view to you, quite explicitly.

When the scripts are available I'll fully transcribe as such.

Quoting Paladin's thread since apparently he fully transcribed the dialogue:

Under my 'control', people could thrive. Everyone would have the reassurance that they know where they belong and how they should behave. This people crave. Deep down everyone wants to know where they sit in the world. What you call control, I would argue is true freedom. Freedom to know how life should be lived and how to fulfill one's potential.

It seems Saradomin may have a good side after all. If you raced with him during the quest and he won, he reveals that he plans on using the SoJ as a bargaining chip to get back his daughter from Zaros, who was captured by him but recaptured by Seren. Her name is Adrasteia. (Source: player "Sky Jexel" from the Lore FC) Seren wanted to bargain her for the Stone if Saradomin were to win it in the race. Seren feared he was too dangerous to have it should he have won it. This must be what Saradomin's weakness during Hero's welcome was...

Also we learned that Saradomin found his crown in a cave on Teragard and that he ripped Garlandia's wings to show the icyene he was merciless. He did feel terrible for taking her wings, though.
I worship Mah, for she is mah homegirl! The correct adjective for Mah's followers are: Mahomies, Mah-homeboys, or Mah-homegirls.

Thank you, it became apparent to me Zaros bargained with every god or estabilished pacts with them to ensure he'd receive the SoJ at the end, but wasn't sure of such.

He does have a point though; there are people who get a sense of security from order. He's wrong when he says this applies to everyone, but there are those who have sheeplike tendencies.

Yes. But his objective is to impose such views upon everyone, not just those with tendencies..

In other words, Saradomin is the Donald Trump of this universe?

It was a really enlightening quest, and I found the lore rather enjoyable (the rest...ehhhh...).

We learned a lot about Saradomin, and they did a fair job of the shades of gray with him. The good with the bad. Quest spoilers:

"You have a daughter?"

Saradomin: "Yes, she...she is all that really matters. She means everything to me, I just wish that she could see that.

She is safe, my beautiful Adrasteia."

Interesting how he notes how his time away from humanity makes him feel so distant from it with all he's lost...yet he still has some, given that he was willing to throw away the Stone of Jas to save his daughter...is she a god too? Or is this a recent daughter? A revived spirit?

He has no idea what the Magisters have done to Teragard apparently, he hasn't been back in ages...he's bound to be upset by that. The way he described the titular wing ripping incident also sounds like it's an image that haunts him, though he feels it was the best course of action to let the Icyene survive the coming battle.

His history as a Justicar was interesting, tasked with enforcing Teragardian law. He basically was a Sheriff. Once he ascended, he united the planet so former national border fights/etc were no longer a problem.
