Before today I thought it was generally accepted that Saradomin was that old...

I am of the opinion that more lore is better, and because this quote doesn't contradict anything said before, i see it as a perfect opportunity for more lore. If enough people deny it, it might not happen which would be sad :( as it is essentialy killing a perfectly good piece of lore. I think this is why it bother Balustan so much, from the little amount I know about him, one thing is clear, he loves lore . By people denying a possible opportunity for more lore, you are attacking him. I think that Instead of thinking of quotes like the one in question as problems, think of them as gifts, and they should be treasured.

That isn't how I see it, because I don't see that as lore I just see it as another stupid thing people will just spam as faction bashing lol. Its like the Garlandia story being told as true sure I accepted which all of you guys did which kind contradictory because there would have been a lot more lore if her story was false. There could have been a big storyline behind but as pointed out we probably aren't getting her story with Saradomin expanded on.

Well you are a bit biased as you have a faction, you said i think it was yesterday that negative make the story better. Now imagen the quotes were not about Saradomin but about something else entirely, like say Zaros killing a bunch of people to lure loarnab, see that is just a jmod quote, not canon, but it certainly made the story better.

IMO, all j-mod quotes should be considered semi-canon, I think its wrong if a J-mod makes a statement/tweet that isn't an opinionated matter, and we just say "Not true" because we don't agree with it. If its contradicted in-game we can then question if its entirely not true.

Oh yeah if it's because we don't agree with it then sure. Sometimes though there are reasons to say it isn't canon.

I would love it to be expanded upon. I don't think it will change my view on the matter even if it is expanded upon. I can't imagine anything Garlandia could have done except say take a child hostage and threaten them if Saradomin didn't give into her not wanting to go to war.

I don't know if Balustan and company changed their minds about the location of the "Saradomin abandoned humans" statement, but if they haven't, I can confirm it is NOT in the "A - Z of Divination" podcast. If it's in a podcast, though, it's likely in the one entitled "Deities of Gielinor - Whom To Follow?". I have to go now, so I won't be able to verify it myself, so someone else get on that.

Actually I think that was a clarification more so than just an opinion

And that's where all this flaming is coming from. I don't see that as a J-mod quote here you have the Codex Ultimatus its basically a new piece of lore and it doesn't actually zaros grabbed a bunch of people to sacrifice them, so people started saying "oh they were dead" or "they were dogs/animals (it was something ridiculous)" Mod Jack just clarified they were humans which if you read the script without a Zarosian bias was pretty much what was said. Those are more clarifications.

Then I have no idea where to find that or if it even exists anymore. If you want to keep using that argument, you're going to have to remember who was involved and ask them about it on Twitter.

Nothing states the thing he said in game though so by the same reasoning as Mod Osborne's Saradomin abandonment thing being classified as headcanon it must be headcanon right?
