Nice thread! I was really active in the lore forums a while ago on the Saradominist side but I left RS during the Lum rebuildathon. I just lurk around the forums a bit nowadays. (Might come back!)
What's the status on Saradomin right now (Any new lore)? The lore forum seems so subdued right now...

The one true wing ripper!!!
I like this line of thought (a tad more than the Saradomin = Umbridge one).
Even so, only when Snape is finally dead do we get to see his attitude can be justified. Unfortunately, it won't do much good to Saradominism as a whole if Saradomin dies a "good" god: he'd still be dead.
That's why I can't emphasize enough why all gods need to get a balanced of good and bad actions that reflect their characters, or actions that can be justified both sides.
I believe Zaros has received the perfect ratio of good and bad, every single action of his is very controversial.
Think invisible ghost, was it punishment, was he saving them from dying (a popular theory liked by mod jack)
or Chars story, was it cruel, or is Char gratefull
or Dragon rider, did he plan on fulfilling his goals, or not
I can't really think of a true evil or good thing he has done, which is different from the others.
I agree that the other gods must be fleshed out more, Seren just needs plain content, Zamorak needs good lore, Bandos i know they want him to be evil. I like Armadyl the way he is, good with controversal actions, Saradomin is perfect, but could do with some more good imo

Hi Mooneef, and I hope you do come back to the forums. Game-wise, it's going to be a very interesting two months, with heavy lore about Zaros and the 2nd Age.
As for Saradomin, I don't know if we will get any new lore on him; we might learn a bit about his population on the 2nd Age though.
The last lore that featured Saradomin was Garlandia, a godless Icyene who had her wings ripped of by Saradomin to "save face". Mod Moltare has said the story is accurate but biased; even Garlandia says "I defied Saradomin to
underline that point
<<that gods are corruptible and flawed>>". I'm sure you'll be able to find a transcript if you search around.

I think what players that don't support Zaros want to see is actual cannon of Zaros himself being wrong. With Char, it can be pretty much be justified she confused orders, or let her zeal blind her judgement, with Dragon Riders, it does hint at Zaros not delivering promises, but this is not completely clear either, and the invisible ghosts, they think they were cursed by Zaros, but has this been confirmed already?

But that's the point, its to be controversial, neither clearly one or the other. Anyways you should be getting some Anti Zaros lore soon with the memories of mahjarrat. And jmods have confirmed Zaros cursed them
And don't forget that Zaros bound demons to a pact- was this cruel, or do demons deserve it

Google the definition of pact.
A Zamorakian lorehound, probably.
Well pact has a negative connatation (connotation is important in any languague/society), which means pact is often associated with a forced or sinister agreement.

But anyways, why argue semantics?
It's important to argue semantics in this case because he used 'pact' as if it were akin to 'forced into slavery.' It isn't, even in the stories that gained it that negative connotation you were talking about; a pact is always a willing agreement. In the stories, the demons use it to take advantage of the poor human who enters into it with them, but that doesn't make it any less willing, and there's no sign of any demons other than Ux attempting to break loose of it.
