Though on the topic of a humans vs vampyres world event...I sorta have to wonder how exactly that sort of thing would even work if they were to release it. From a story perspective I can see the vampyres either paying for mercenaries or having their ranks filled with disguised humans who want a spot in vampyre society, but I can't see an event like that happening from a gameplay perspective because....well....with the salve in the way how would that be possible to hold without gutting a lot of quest requirements? Unless they hold it in a section of Morytania that doesn't need quests to get to or something.
Yeah, but the problem is the entirety of Morytania requires Priest in Peril to get to. Unless they go crazy and add on to Morytania (how?!?) there probably won't be a human vs. vampyre world event. It would be really cool though....

...They removed the quest requirement with the release of the Morytania achievements, which was apparently on the 27th of March, 2012. I checked the Wiki fansite for the release date—I don't guarantee that date is accurate. If it is accurate, though... That's nearing two years ago.
Now players who haven't done the quest can instead fight a ghoul in the underground chamber north of Paterdomus in order to unlock Morytania.
The Asgarnian ale must flow.

Wait....I thought the method Kitty mentioned only unlocked Northern Morytania. Don't we still need Priest in Peril to get access to the rest of the region past the gate to the swamps since it's a prereq for....I think (don't take this as gospel, my memory of the quests in the region is pretty shoddy since it's been nearly 10 years since I did them) Nature Spirit?
Or is there another way deeper into the area that I missed? I honestly can't remember what changed since it really didn't affect me at all when it happened

It's been a long time since I've done them as well, so I did some quick wiki-ing and.....yes. Priest in Peril is a prereq for Nature Spirit, which is definitely required for access to Mort Myre Swamps, and therefore Southern Morytania.
^To be fair, you could get anywhere pretty easily in the past as well. The only catch was you NEEDED to meet the requirements to get around fast instead of having things like lodestones available to any random guy who walked across them in the middle of the street.
It's a pity tbh.

Something I thought I should bring to people's attention, although it's not recent and isn't really that big.
I was listening to the 9th ATL podcast (one with Mod Mark). In the latter part of it, they were discussing World events. At about 33:30, Mod Osborne, discussing the type of events they plan to hold in the future, says something that sounded suspiciously like humans vs. Vampyres.
I might have misheard since it was rather low, Mod Mark was talking over him, and quickly stopped saying anything, but there you go, just thought I'd bring it up.
Seems like that had been a possible idea for the fist world event, before they decided on what actually went live.
