The Godless aren't entirely wrong. We don't need an iron-fisted ruler, we don't need a forced system of Justice, we don't need to be forced into Order or give into Chaos.

What we need is somebody to help us Control our own Fates. A guiding light that allows us to choose our own path, but shows us which path they believe will benefit us the most. To be the best us that we can be, to live our own lives to the fullest of our potential.

We don't need help to control on own fate.
Oh yeah, our plans always bear the perfect fruit. We always avoid disaster. I mean just ask Cyrisus, Hazelmere, The Myreque, Brand/Astrid, Guthix...

Oh wait, you can't.

Know why? Because they decided their own fate, like we did as the adventurer when we first picked up the sword and became so mighty, we are just op.

Giving the Godless an appearance in WE1 and 2 was a pretty solid idea, showing that they are a growing force. To actually include them as a playable faction in the third was a big step up, but it also felt like their 15 seconds of fame. Realistically, will they ever slay another God?

Saradomin and Armadyl have their own storylines that we've barely scratched the surface.
Zaros and Seren have the Elder God dilemma under wraps meanwhile Zamorak is playing fetch with the Stone and preparing for a backhanding of a lifetime on Freneskae.

Yes there are off-world Gods to challenge, yes there are other Karamjan/Fremennik Gods to provoke, and lets not even think about dragging in something as immeasurable as Xau-Tak.

But how exactly do the Godless remain relevant this far into the 6th Age? Would another world event do the trick? Would getting paired with Invention feel like shoehorning for lack of content? They'll have even fewer available targets if the Desert Gods get busy next year.

OK and I'll ask the Zarosians about Zaros' plans for them....hmmm....should I go to the dead ones? The angry bandits in the desert that Zaros has forsaken? Or maybe the ones who remained loyal to him for thousands of years but were excluded from the inner circle that Sliske was allowed into? =P

At least with "my plans" I wanted all of those people dead. Hated Cyrisus and Hazelmere. The Myreque were a bunch of lazy leeches who didn't deserve my liberation. Having Astrid dead gives me more control of the throne. I voted to kill Guthix since he was just an obstacle.
Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

There is a quest coming up, and if enough people ask, well I am sure more content will arrive.

Not true. I support my way of thinking, and since I am a paragon of sentient life, that is all that matters. Those who are foolish will try to deny my ways and face the consequences, those who are wise will come to accept that I am a glowing golden God that exemplifies perfection and all others are merely maggots that cling to me in an attempt to create meaning for their otherwise insignficant lives.

...Also I'm pretty damn sure there are other people who voted to kill Guthix. =P
