Ipcress stared. He was certain the glass house would work - capturing the heat and the sun's rays and keeping his plants healthy no matter how many of those bloody towers they built - but it was his idea, and he'd never heard of it being done elsewhere. How did this lad know was he was building?

He was sweating from the time in the sun, though, and the ache in his limbs and sharp twinge in his lower back could not be denied. Plus, he wanted to know more about that blade. He pocketed it and began to lower himself down through the opening in the roof.

'Very well, lad. Be back here on the morrow and we'll see how useful those skinny arms are.'

This last section where it says "How did this lad know was he was building?" might be something wrong there that needs a fix. So far its very interesting not finished reading it yet though.

Also "with the mournfully drooping olive plant protruding from the parched earth" does this mean olives existed in Gielinor? Or are you describing the color of a plant? If olives/trees did exist I can see how they went extinct, if they were all located in the wildy region. Kinda gives the image of zaros empire/buildings looking very roman-esque. Also the titles legatus and pontifex kinda seal this deal too... :D

Yay! Brilliant story, would definitely be interested in reading lots more lore. :D :D I use to really enjoy it back when you guys did the Postbag from the Hedge (and the god letters, some of them were epic although I was too young to appreciate them at the time). So I'd love to see more things like that.

Wait if Cres is completely suffused and stained by the anima mundi does that mean Cres is still alive and it is just taking time for him to be reawakened?

For the description of The Coat Thief, "Veldeban" contains a typo and I would say Hilda is much more important than Brae. :P Also, could you please add back Eulogy for a Forgotten Hero? It doesn't contradict the current version of Demon Slayer in any way. :)

Oh, and Reldo needs to buy a map. The ruins are north-east of Ardougne, not west. :P (technically "Ardougne" doesn't exist anymore since 5.136 but let's ignore that) Pillars of Zanash all over again.
Bizarre Boron Fusswell, scryer extraordinaire. OSRS: POH ideas & RS3 minigames & achievement ideas !

Perhaps you're half right; perhaps we can't win. But we can fight.

'And what have we here?' rumbled Zemouregal. Ipcress did not break his gaze. He opened his mouth, but could only splutter and rasp. A a cruel smile flashed onto the Mahjarrat's face.

Another fix is needed. "A a cruel smile flashed onto the Mahjarrat's face."

Finished it and it's very informative from what the empire may have looked like to also how things were in that time as well as some insight with some characters who were a bit mysterious before this wonderfully written work of art came out.

'Not...y'bl'ddy...' Uncle ... sad ending or a happy beginning depending on how you see it.
Was kinda funny that those were his last words. (in that form) :)

Also since Cress is so attuned to the world will he be making a return?

Unrelated to the new story, but the version of "History of Gielinor" on the new Lores and Histories section is one that's been edited by players while it was on the official wiki, as opposed to the original one written by Paul Gower way back when the Lores and Histories section was first released. The original version was actually more accurate than the current one, as it's consistent with the Varrock Museum displays and doesn't mix up stuff that happened before the First Age, the First Age, and the Second Age.

Anyway, could it possibly be replaced with the older version? Some changes may need to be made to reflect the Runecrafting retcon and to include the Sixth Age, but personally I wouldn't mind it staying as it was originally.

I could link an archived version of the original on Twitter or something if you're interested.
You never were our brightest star, Khazard. 'Vermin slaughtered like lambs'? What does that even mean?
