It was a very nice read. I loved it.
Although I think there was one mistake, when Zemoregal was talking, he was referred to in the story as Zamorak at one point.
I loved the origin story. Do you think the Balance Elemental will ever get one, he is a very interesting character despite having very little known about him.
Beautiful tales, nicely written with amazing skill.
Loved the new one. I also decided to read once again "The Fall of Six". Man... such an awesome story, now with new meaning thanks to our deeper knowledge about Zaros, Zamorak and Sliske.
Please keep up with this project! You're awesome at it. It gives us a background and context that enriches our gaming experience.
Thank you!
PS. If you ever have the time and the inspiration, I would love to read about the origins of Araxxor.
Very nice story, loved it. Hope to see more of these in the future

Woah I read through this piece of lore and was truly grasped by it! I loved how only at the end the story truly become clear. Great job on expanding our knowledge of the runescape universe
Now to go into a bit of detail so needless to say, SPOILER ALERT.
In this story we see the creation of the world gaurdians. It is great to know that Death (and Fiara) were the first gaurdians created by Guthix. In the case of Death this makes sense as he is the one responsible for the safe trafficking of souls.
What truly surprised me though is that Guthix did not awake due to the destruction of Forinthry by Zamorak, but was quite awake even in the second age or at least kept up to date by the guardians. As such he DID know of the existence of Zaros and the destruction god armies brought to the land! In fact, one could see the creation of Cres as a response to this, actually making an army of his own. What I do not understand is why Guthix did not intervene/seek contact with the dark lord and/or the other gods. Or why he even went back to sleep knowing full well wars between gods are fought on Gielinor, the one thing he envisioned Gielinor to not have.

I've always been a fan of the lore collections. I remember reading the Arrav story
loooong
before I was P2P and understood anything about the game's lore and quest lines in general. It was simply a well written story to read and I loved it, as well as the others available at that time (Fall of the Six, The Coat Thief, The Chasm of Lights, so on...).
Knowing all the context and having talked with related characters now in-game, long after reading the lore stories, it's so great to read them again. I always loved the first line in Twice Burnt...and the Ozan story just got me right in the mood for that awesome quest duo.
tldr; give us more lore stories pleeeeease.
And to protect the Stone until such a time as, near to death, whereby you are relieved of all duties and shall henceforth be returned to your home plane with the gratitude and blessings of Guthix.
Disappointed that we won't likely be seeing a flesh giant boss in some ancient Zarosian ruin.
Glad to finally have definitive and undeniable confirmation that horses did exist on Gielinor.
Glad to know that Death has a history with one of the most powerful necromancers in-game.
Interesting to learn Cres's origins.
Interesting to learn that Juna is one of, if not the, youngest Guardian of Guthix.
Curious about why Death kept calling Cress, 'Uncle.'
Curious if Ipcress's/the Menaphite's smithing technique will be included in Inventor as a way of strengthening/ increasing the durability of gear.
Mod William, awesome job by the way, if you have time could you tell us more about the Sombre Vigil. This is the first time they have been mentioned in the lore as far as I know.
How big was this cult?
Who was comprised of it? Like was it mostly humans, or was it mahjarrat?
Was there an actual leader, or did they just seem to be on lone?
and what became of it? Did it bleed into the Zamorak's new reign, or did it cease to exist?
I like the history it sets up with Death, Cres, and Zemmy. Makes it all the more worthwhile knowing that Cres is super effective against Zem in The World Wakes.

Mod William and Michelle, you are both stars! I loved reading this and all the others.
I liked how you brought death into this and give him character and power. After World Wakes, Missing, Presumed Death and Dishonor Among Thieves I felt that Death had become a rather weak and vulnerable character that was rather poor at his job. This beautiful piece of law brings him back as the badass he should be!
Also my respect for Zaros is lowered even further than after Return Of Zaros quest; if he saw all, then he saw the stuff like this that was happening. He shares the responsibility.
Thanks again! Can't wait for the next one! You do such a good job, I don't even mind who is the next topic!
