@Eridyn I tend to think it is not either currently but I don't want to remove it because the sword became obsolete possible because they had a better thing?

Anyway it could still be one and that part is speculation anyway.

@I have boxes Well we know there are 2 we have not held on the plane currently. The enchanted key is one I hate as an Elder Artefact cause it doesn't seem like they'd require time travel to me even though Jas deals with time it just seems odd.

No it is right. It clearly should have been it was so perfect and interesting. It saddens me too but it goes on the list of slightly more interesting than Elder Artefacts list.

@Rebel v18 Thanks :D

Balustan, I've been thinking about something...

The Elder Artifacts, when mortals spend time with them, energy radiates from them and gives godhood to the mortals, so, does this mean an elder artifact would ever run out of power to give to a being? Like they've reached the point where their power is roughly equivalent to that of the artifact.

Or is it possible that after substantial amounts of time away from your artifact, that the power will drift away?

I'm trying to understand whether or not they're like infinite energy sources- in that the only limit to how much energy one could take from one was how much time they had, or if there really is a kind of limit.

@Wolfie I know this is terribly out of date. Also we had it confirmed the Mahjarrat made the marker. Plus there are two of them.

Where was it confirmed the Mahjarrat made the ritual marker? I could have sworn they brought it with them from Freneskae which is why Bilrach had to go back to get the second one. As for there being two, it could just be broken in half but still functional. Unless it has been confirmed they made it I wouldn't rule it out just because it might not be whole and still functioning.

No they built one on Freneskae and then they came to Gielinor and built another. The one on Freneskae apparently did not have the same difficulty in moving t as the Gielinorian one. It was in the ROTM FAQ that they built it.

@Half Centaur well the Stone seems to be the only one leaking energy the others might need activating as it were by willing them to be used. They have to have power limits because they cannot be as powerful as the elder gods but I don't want o say they use up power. They may equal say a god tier like the Crown Archival may equal tier 3 and if somebody kept using it they'd reach that tier eventually but the crown would still be the same.

Either that or it might spend power I am not sure.

Do you think separation from one's artifact would decrease their power over time?

That might explain Armadyl's relative decrease in power through the god wars, due to the separation from his staff.

Idk do we even know he decreased in power? Perhaps he never reached tier 3 like the others. He doesn't seem to like having the staff on him too much. I think he wanted to have the power of the staff to keep the others gods in check but he prefered something that would not make the weilder a god and so created the god sword to be a deterant in an equal society (they would probably build multiple if they could) and leave the artefacts alone.

As for losing power when away from them I don't know. Maybe? I can't personally see a lot of info on them being away from Artefacts and Guthix doesn't seem to have lost power.

Slight note: it was mentioned none of the artefacts leak magic. Really? Why then being near one causes one to become a god?

Also, note the power within gives some effects. The Sword was sparkliing, the staff vibrating with power, Hok'd radiating power can be felt etc.
