I'm not sure if they removed the dialog from TWW that said the sword shattered when it pierced Skargaroth, but assuming the sword was used to cut portals to different worlds, perhaps when it broke, however it broke, Guthix used the pieces to make the world gate? Is that a stupid idea?

That is very interesting actually. It's possible.

I have a question: Quin is dead, so did it say what happened to the horn? I'm pretty sure it didn't, so..... what? Did your strike team just leave it sit in her castle for the kids in New Heritage to play with?

This "something" that is hidden that is so important is more likely an Elder Artefact. Though sending their most powerful officers would leave the GWD rather empty would it not?
I always assumed the gods are after the Sword of Edicts. Guthix residual energy is worth fighting for, and the Sword of Edicts originated the Barrier of Edicts. Such tremendous energy must that sword contain, I even believe it is a god-killer like the godsword.
I even expect that one of the WE will take place in the Wilderness. What consequences this has for the Warbands D&D is unknown...

Interesting idea about the edicts sword but that is kind of obvious. No need to search for it really. We know there is a wilderness quest next year though.

I have no idea about Quin being dead as I have not completed ports content and the wiki articles last I checked were very incomplete. There seems to be little to no mention of the horn at all though.

Reading the speculation part of the thread, I have to disagree with the possibility of the World Gate/Portal of Life being an Elder Artefact. While it would be interesting, if you recall Guthix created portals using the Elder Sword, before becoming powerful enough to open portals without it.
(This is a statement by Guthix found in the Guthixian Memories from the Tribute to Guthix Event)
I believe the World Gate is simply a far more powerful version of the many portals Guthix would have made when travelling worlds, the difference being in the fact that this portal would be powerful enough to transport large numbers of beings of various races, rather than just Guthix individually.

In the lore campfire Mod Raven answered "about 4" when a player asked how many elder artifacts the player has touched. The Stone is one, and the Kiln and Staff are possibilities so we can take two more away, but that still leaves (at least) one artifact that we have touched. It was also confirmed that there are artifacts that we have encountered before but had no clue that they were elder artifacts. I wonder what it could be...
