Balustan, in the same post you mention that Guthix used the stone to amplify his powers immensely, not knowing the damage he was causing by doing so; you then in the next paragraph mention that Guthix only drew knowledge from it, not affecting the kin.

You might want to clarify that.

Also, you might want to add in the stones possible connection with the "Elder Eggs."

I blame Jagex for being confusing the issue. They said he only drew knowledge but that doesn't seem to add up.

I should probably add the egg thing.

Well, to be fair to Jagex, they didn't say that.

When we asked Sliske about it, he gave us his theory, which is that he's only drawn knowledge and maybe Guthix did the same. (As far as I know) no Mod has confirmed either one way or another.

They said Sliske wasn't lying to us, but that doesn't mean he's correct.


Also possible is that they gained extra power from the stone, but in less egregious ways then other users (after all, the stone leaks power to anything around it slowly on its own)


EDIT: I do recall saying them saying somewhere that Guthix drew power slowly and in moderate amounts, compared to other users though, which might be why he didn't have Dragonkin issues.

I think that was mentioned in OoaK FaQ, to answer why he didn't appear as a false user, just in the background.

I feel like the Enchanted Key is an Elder Artefact. Time travel just seems too OP to not be an elder artefact. The Elder Gods could have used it to go back in time and fix a mistake they made in world building.

It is confirmed as not being one in some Q&A. Which one I don't recall. I would ask can you actually change history though and having discussed it with Mod Raven I think not. For story reasons I think the Enchanted key quests are not quite as they appear currently and that the timeline cannot be altered.

I might just be rehashing what someone already said, but I didn't have time to re-read all the older posts, but does anyone have any idea if the Shield of Arrav (a.k.a. restored shield) might be a possible Elder Artefact? It was mentioned to be "clearly not of this world." I was just wondering if anyone else has any thoughts on that.
