I might just be rehashing what someone already said, but I didn't have time to re-read all the older posts, but does anyone have any idea if the Shield of Arrav (a.k.a. restored shield) might be a possible Elder Artefact? It was mentioned to be "clearly not of this world." I was just wondering if anyone else has any thoughts on that.

Not questioning you on this but if it isn't an elder god artifact then what is it?

Also can we put the Karid-ib on the maybe pile? (As terrifying ass that thought is given who's got it). "The greatest endeavors are achieved because of their selfless intent"

We don't quite know what it is. It's tied to a human bloodline so we will hopefully find out at some point. It could be as Half Centaur says or something else. I reckon it may be from Lasssar as there were Zarosian descendants from Lassar who founded Varrock and were part of that population. Btw I will note here that I think the fact it isn't an Elder Artefact kind of stupid since it's pretty powerful.

The Kharid-Ib is also confirmed not to be one though I wouldn't call that a mortal artefact. Pretty sure it's Tumeken's heart and we know what happens when Hearts go in Canopic Jars and Amascut has both.

1. Why did Lucien invade Varrock during the Fifth Age? Was he after the Shield of Arrav? 2. Is the Shield of Arrav an elder god artefact? 3. Would Kharshai be a member of the Godless faction? 4. With Sliske possibly a god, would it be possible for at least one of the Mahjarrat to switch their allegiance from Zaros or Zamorak and begin serving him?

Raven: 1. He wanted the shield, it's a powerful artefact and he did so like those.

2. Whilst the shield is indeed powerful, it is not an elder artefact.
