Hello Motley

I'd like to say thank you for compiling a list of well-known scams to beware of, some of them were new to my understanding and have helped in avoiding such instances.

Just to add to the list, i have come across many users paying 10M in return for a firecape on their account. When i reciprocated to find out more details of the scam it came to light they would often want to use TeamView so that they can securely type in their account information. My guess that this would be that there is a ulterior motive so that they can take full control of your computer and do as they wish.

Just one to warn users about!

If you want a happy ending, it depends on where you end the story.

Good thread!
Just to add one more I encountered recently,

I had a random player MSG me and say, "hey guess who?!" Naturally I responded and said, "Who?" And they said, "guess, you have three chances!" I said a name of my mate who plays a lot and he said, "Aw you guessed it....I made a new pure account!" He then asked me to come to the duel arena so he could show me his new account. I was a little cautious, but I went. He dueled me(risking no money) for about 5-10 times and I was was a lot higher level then him, so I kept winning. He then sent me a message saying, "Hey can you let me borrow your whip to make things more fair." I realized at this point it must be a scam and asked him some personal questions only my real friend would know.

This scam almost tricked me because of how often my friend, who the scammer claimed he was, makes new accounts, so it was believable. I also have never heard of this scam before, so I just wanted to post it so everyone will be vigilant of this new scam!
