Hey MotleyCrue!

dont know if this was mentioned yet but there is a common luring technique in the fight pit area.

someone will look for a level 3 skiller who is selling a large amount of one item, and they will tell them to meet them in the volcano in karamja because theyre "training"
now before they come, the person luring the victim will ask him to purchase some karamja rums for him and that they need them and will pay extra for them. Upon entering the area the rums will explode killing the level 3 skillers.
While this is probably not going to be a problem anymore due to the release of the grand exchange, i just want people to know so they wont lose their hard earned money.

Thank you!

Yeah I think the G.E. will have made that scam obsolete, thanks nonetheless for posting it.

Thanks West.

Great post, very thorough. I think it covers pretty much all of the scams that are used to trick new (and sometimes experienced) players. Among these things I would add the scam where someone tells you to trade them money and whoever trades them the most gets a big amount like 1m.

That falls under the trust trades segment of the post.
