"drop items at castle wars and I'll give you 2mil shards"

Pretty sure this guy and girl were in cahoots with one another doing a "lock out" scam. Girl wanted me to show trade I had items, go into red portal at castle wars, drop stuff, come out portal, trade for shards. As soon as you have the shards you can't jump back in.

It's so tempting to try beat the person and drop the shards and jump into portal to get your stuff (try get them back) but I didn't have the money to risk it.

The guy who I think was a partner in crime did this and scammed her back. Although it looked rehearsed and felt like an act. After him telling me to scam her back and me not wanting to risk it he gets the scammer and keeps the money. Proceeded to say 50mil doesn't bother him and shows red phat. The guy denied being a partner but something didn't add up and my caution saved my money.

Also just a suggestion to add avoid going to any youtube video that involves vote yes to a fake poll for an xxx gold amount or giving gold away period. As they can lead to hack/scam sites and steal your game information. (Example: Free 3m for voting yes to claws! Search Claws(random numbers) on youtube!) Which the poll right now is F2P not claws. (I always check the link before signing in anyways) And personal note I have not been tricked into signing into these "Fake sites" as of yet. (I have been PMed trying this scam kinda why I always unless I am selling something have it set to friends.) World 301 west varrock bank is the worse for this to happen btw.

I recently had a new one that was a bit tricky to figure out. So I had someone private message me complimenting my name and asking me to come upstairs varrock bank to "show me something". He proceeded to show me a bunch of high priced items claiming he got it all from a drop party. I've been to my fair share of drop partys and it was highly unlikely he got 16 different items. He then said if i wanted to be invited to the next drop party, all i had to do was go to their fb page and like it. After going over the page for awhile, it lacks any enthusiasm from their "winners". If i won a bunch of items i'd be posting all on their feed and events and such to get more players to get more parties.
The page asks you to pick a number between "blank and blank" and post your username. What you are doing is giving your username, and EVERYTHING on your facebook profile. If you are one of the many who do not privitize everything on your facebook, you are giving away your email (which may be your login email), your personal info like dogs name, family member names, age, birthdate, significant other, anniversary. All of which are common ********* and recovery question answers.
I warn you all to be quite wary of scenarios like these, scams are getting more and more tricky, keep your eyes peeled!

After reading through a few pages of this thread I hadn't seen two scams that were attempted on me, one of them working. In a pvp world some guy was selling granite mauls for 22K each, this was a very generous offer, after he showed me 30 noted mauls I went to grab 700K. As I was doing this my chat was full of trade offers, I accepted to make the trade. The next thing I know I am in pvp zone in lumbridge castle with a bind casted on me and boom a death. The next scam, which was easy to see what the guy was doing, 8,000 dragon bones sold at just 1,660gp each. I go ahead and ask if I can purchase the bones, he said "yeah meet me at rogue den bank on world 325", this seemed suspicious as it was a pvp world. I banked my cash before logging on and proceeded to hop worlds, there I was met with an instant death. A word of advice, only go on pvp world a to fight other players.
