I recently had a new one that was a bit tricky to figure out. So I had someone private message me complimenting my name and asking me to come upstairs varrock bank to "show me something". He proceeded to show me a bunch of high priced items claiming he got it all from a drop party. I've been to my fair share of drop partys and it was highly unlikely he got 16 different items. He then said if i wanted to be invited to the next drop party, all i had to do was go to their fb page and like it. After going over the page for awhile, it lacks any enthusiasm from their "winners". If i won a bunch of items i'd be posting all on their feed and events and such to get more players to get more parties.
The page asks you to pick a number between "blank and blank" and post your username. What you are doing is giving your username, and EVERYTHING on your facebook profile. If you are one of the many who do not privitize everything on your facebook, you are giving away your email (which may be your login email), your personal info like dogs name, family member names, age, birthdate, significant other, anniversary. All of which are common ********* and recovery question answers.
I warn you all to be quite wary of scenarios like these, scams are getting more and more tricky, keep your eyes peeled!
