This has been going on with MMOs and on consoles for a long time now (See *Box 360's avatar store).
Chill out and don't buy stuff. If no one buys anything, they won't make updates like it. But since people are buying things with real money, Jagex will continue to take that as people enjoying their content.
And really, buying animations and stuff is just as dumb as buying things on the Xbox Avatar Store. It doesn't hurt anything. If anything, be worried about "Choose Your Fate", whatever that is.

Since that was a big text wall I did not finish but I assume you hate SGS (solomons general store)
I for one hate Microtransaction (to be more specific one that grant in game advantage) but the Solomon store is quite alright, its all cosmetic so its cool and exclusive.
And the BIG thing is, no advantage over other players.
So I support jagex and have bought myself some items.
I still look down on sof spin sales however.

The problem is that people are buying things, and they're actually being supportive of Jagex on things like this.
Jagex received a huge negative reaction on SoF, and they haven't removed it yet, so positive reactions will just encourage them.
Anyways, the things on the XBox avatar store are just pointless, whereas most of the things in Solomon's store should have been regular game updates seeing that they improve some old things graphically.

@BR0MAT0 I have been playing Maple Story since beta. and the shop has ALWAYS been there since shortly after it's release... it is a F2P game and it is how they make their cash.

i really dont care... im upset i missed out 400$ worth of spins for doing quests... and ppl with quest capes didnt get compensation cause jagex said the economy would not be balanced... rune coins r perfect compensation too ppl who earned quest cape befor the sof update
