It disgusts me that there are actually people supporting SGS or SoF.

it desgusts me that this thread still exists, yet an Anti-sof thread was locked.

Also I disagree with your statement, because what your saying is I need multipul memberships if I want to support jagex more? NTY

I don't care how other people spend there money, it's theres not mine. I buy RC some times just to support JaGex, that and the fact that it's basicly the only game or forum of enter tainment that I really use, other stuff like My home systems/TV and my handhelds get played X5 less than rs does.

but i got to admit i dont think its fair that you can use a pet to bank i item that means you can remotly bank the wand of treachery lets say right when you find it in the wildy that is if you dont get hit first cuse that cloces the interface but still

Actually the banking effect doesn't work in wildy, and plus your most likely gonna get hit if you get wand, unless you use a FC that has rules so wand winners don't die.

@GrannyWbands: If Jagex wanted loyal players to show their support, they could just add a "Donate" button or function of some sort that does not offer an advantage by awarding the players. By rewarding the players with cosmetics for their donations, Jagex is clearly favouring those with more expendable cash over those that pay their normal membership.

Also, this is the Solomon's Store forum, so obviously an anti-SoF thread would be locked here.

I'm going to discard this forum post as useless, do to a few number of things.

A: You act as the Solomon store is really expensive, I'm going to see this as HUGE overstatement.

B: You think that it's a big bonus in experience. You see here... it's literally about one thousand times cheaper to 3rd party RWT

C: Most users who buy spins tend to buy spins for cosmetic items.

D: You act as if the SOLOMON store is a big deal. Are you really that mad about buy able cosmetic items that have no effect on the game. Sure there are some bank spaces, but really are not that needed if you clean of useless items.

F: It's your choice to buy spins, and what not, nobody's else.

G: Jagex is still updating the game, maybe not as much as before, but then again EOC AND RUNESCAPE 3 are coming out. Those are some huge updates and most likely took a lot of resources to implant.

H: If you complain about G, it's usually because people don't think Jagex listens to them, but in reality what do you complainers want. The only thing you people want is to remove content from the game, which obviously isn't going to attract new breeds of players.

I: That is all

- RWT; when IRL money can buy you ingame advantages (gp, xp, bosskill, others...). Theres legal RWT & illegal (those that are leeching off Jgx's products aka botcompanies). For 10 years we were free of legal RWT but ridden with illegal RWT. Now, with Botwatch becoming efficient the roles have turned. But the thing remains it still is RWT, and we were told in the first 10 years that RWT is against the game's spirt. Jgx can change the letters of the rulebook as much as they want to, but it will remain against the original spirit of the game.

- SOF = ability to buy spins = ability to gain GP/XP/... through IRL money = RWT
Even if its only 1GP/XP gained, it remains 1 over the limit. If SOF only gave us a chance for cosmetic items, i'd have no problem with that, even if spins are buyable. But a SOF-wheel with only cosm. items with 100% chance of getting those would run out of spinnable content very quickly, even with only a daily spin available. Without GP/XP on the wheel SOF would have lived a short life, and that without buyable spins the SOF content would be produced much less. Working for spins to get the full content of a week-lasting SOF event is impossible for a healthy player. You can conclude from this that SOF is RWT-intended content, aka against the spirit of the game.

- SOL; aside from the increasing corruption of the 'cosmetic'-only behind it (bank-pets, bank slots,.) the concept of buying cosm. items is flawed. A player who didn't buy cosmetic items is still being confronted with them, outside & inside the game. I'm pretty sure that the unnessary (but forced) loading of the cosm. items into my computer slows down my playing performances. I'm also pretty sure that there are currently more cos*. outfits than playable ones. All of which required to be loaded in order to play the game. I think an 'on/off' button is needed in the log-in menu in order to keep cosm. items cosmetic. I also should not be forced to see other's flaunting IRL wealth.

- I also take offence on the term MT, micro-transactions. There is nothing micro about them. When the smallest MT costs as much as a month of full membership, it's hardly micro anymore. It is a misrepresentation of facts. Especially to the kids.

- I would like to see the hard numbers on the amount of players that are free, member, buying SOF, buying SOL. The amount of employees put on either one of them. The income they are supplying. The annual report had shown that the amount of employees maybe rose about 10, and that the amount of those that were put into customer service were lowered. The employees that work on the MT content supposedly are seperate from the main body, but i do believe that any content be it cosmetic or not is still affecting the main content as source of possible bugs creations, bugs that will have to solved by the main content team. Also slowing down that new content. Purely cosmetic content is probably easy to seperate, just put it on a seperate layer. But the SOF/SOL content is no longer purely cosmetic, it's hybrid. Creating more complex lvl'd bugs with harder to find causes.

Bro, you keep making a big deal about the pets tbh i bought the pet its abilities aren't that good first it banks 1 item every 10 minutes woopie... imp in a box banks 2, pak yak banks too its not that big of a deal, its 2nd ability is gathering items for you it will pick up 1 item dropped by the creature you killed while this is sometime helpful alot of time it will pick up the wrong item and you have to pick up the item yourself anyways...

also what world have you been living in with this statement, its the same way in every game you play, if you pay more you get more get used to it, its a way of life quit complaining and move on.

@spif

1) its not rwt, its paying jagex(the creator its their game) so it can't be rwt

2) SOF- i agree some of the prizes there i could do without the money bags for one are just annoying, the lamps are meh don't get me wrong i like the free exp but i could live just fine without it, slayer masks are a nice addition, the crates on the wheel are nice because they are not giving you free money/exp technically they are giving you the means to train yourself i consider this like a monster drop i'm fine with it, the exquisite gear while yes it has stats its 100% cosmetic for anyone with 200 combat, the 200M prize i the middle well thats just for show basically so few people have won it, not really worth the effort to get.

3)SGS(Solomon General Store)- almost all the gear is cosmetic, i already explained the pets in the post above, the teleports/skill animations are nice, the bank boosters honestly i love them my bank would be 250 items over the limit if not for them, i wouldn't mind them adding more. all the cosmetic outfits i love most of them its fun changing my look from time to time, i don't like the look of some of the actual gear so i'd rather cover it up while still keeping the bonus's of the gear

4)not much i can do about your offense to the term Micro-Transaction take it how you want not gonna change jagex mind because of 1 person being offended by it

5)i can't speak to the resources jagex puts into MT and regular content so i won't bother with this part, i would however like to see a little more put into the game than the MT stuff so i will agree with you to that point
