When it comes to advantages it pretty much just opinions. Purely cosmetic items in my opinion gives no real in game advantages whatsoever. If I put on full deathless regent I still hit and get hit the exact same, I get the exact same drops, I get the exact same xp, and I do everything else in the game the exact same as if the amour did not exist. If I choose to pay $5 to look different with no other benefits then it doesn't affect you in any way besides you looking at something different. Other items such as the legendary pets, bank boosters and wicked pouch are a different story but in the cosmetic sense alone, I'm sorry, I don't see your point at all. You don't have to be rich in real life to buy solomons. If you work hard in game you can just buy and redeem bonds. If you work smart and hard you can buy all of solomons and membership itself just by playing the game.
The way they added these items was far from being the best and they did get a lot better in the sense that you can buy them just by playing the game (not defending buying bonds with real cash). Though they could have easily added these things in game via minigames, quests, and even the loyalty store. Things will get worse as they have already shown they don't care if they add a perk that can be bought with real world cash.
I do know this thread is years old but it's all still relevant so I decided to reply.
Again this is just my opinion, with all do respects happy scaping.
