I absolutely support everyone spending money on cosmetic items in game. This helps Jagex increase revenue to afford more great updates and keep the servers running smoothly. The more people that spend on these cosmetic items, the less likely monthly membership will increase.
However, I wish Jagex would cut out the Squeel of Fortune from the game. This update has only been advantageous to players who can afford to drop a lot of real money for in game benefits such as time saved skilling, money earned, and items acquired. I wish there were more pointless aesthetic updates like Solomons store for Jagex to earn profits off of so they can get rid of SoF which is a corruption in RuneScape. Although I won't be spending any of my money on aesthetic items or spins, I understand some people enjoy playing for the role playing aspect whereas I play for fun, money and exp - more combat and skills oriented.
If the SoF was changed to only include nonsense items such as pizza and cabbage etc, and some desirable items such as queens guard, dragon ceremonial, fish masks, and tattoos/horns/etc. then I would not mind having the feature. I probably would not even use my spins, but then the pop-up goblin would get extremely annoying. That could be removed. Basically, keep armor and money and lamps out of the SoF and only let players spend money on items which don't give an in game advantage!

This is what I wrote earlier, but to go more in depth... cosmetic items have no affect on exp gains, questing, or DPS in fights. If you're making videos, taking photos in the booth for your avatar, bankstanding and chatting, or just want to look better while playing then this may have a disadvantage, however, this has NO actual advantage in gaining success. A cosmetic item such as a partyhat or santa hat or even a top hat does give an advantage because it has a value which can be traded to other players. The Solomon shop items are not trade-able.
