Just same like item, but with different colors to keep the original item value and it would make the people that so badly want those items to.

It could also be a Solomon item yes ofc.

You say you only support the item coming back if it's noticeably different than the existing one. And I keep telling you those different versions are not what players want.

Those versions are not what Jagex offered to sell in Solomon's. Those versions are only what you support because, as I told the Lady, you need an excuse to keep yourself on a pedestal above everybody else, which I don't support.

Why would i want to take part in holiday events then? What incentive is there? How boring. Say a person has missed out on the santa suit. Your solution is to release a green/black/ alternate coloured santa suit to cater to those players who missed out on the original. So what happens when newer players miss out on that? This only serves to clutter up the world so once again, no support.

There's two things jagex can do. Either rerelease the originals one way or another, or to release an identical yet distinct item (easter ring/bone brooch/ ring of snow etc). Though only the first option will solve everyones problem of wanting the holiday items they currently do not have.

*cough* If someone can't compromise even by an inch, then frankly, their feeling of entitlement to things they don't have is a detriment to the game's health anyway.

But realistically, because it's the older holiday items that are becoming more exclusive, they're also the easiest to make an alternative version of that has improved graphical appearance, due to how old their graphical appearance has become. Jagex could then make it clear that the updated version is always rereleased, if people really wanted it to become worthless in comparison. Since they didn't do that for the existing ones though, they have to stay discontinued.

Btw, you said you didn't want to complete a holiday event just to find out that the reward is a recolored version of what you already have; why would the reward being the exact same thing you already have be any better?

So I was not exactly as selfish as you believe. Which is no different than me asking for Solomon's overrides. An override is not a physical item. The physical items are still exclusive to the event it came from. I however, do not think its fair to separate people through adding some word like "copy" or the year they got it to everybody else's just so you can feel special.
"Cosmetic Override" is far more politically correct than "copy" in terms of applying words to separate two versions of the same outfit.

Also, The Lover's and Haters Medallions are Holiday Items that have come back the exact same way through future events without any differences in them. Why you think that's OK, but not this, is beyond me.

I for one would like to get some of the old untradeables that I missed. And if they said eg. Copy Bunny Ears, that wouldn't bother me at all, as I would only want the cosmetic appearance. However, I do own many of the untradeables and I like knowing that not everyone in the game owns it. But the same argument could be made for pets like the big cat event, once you miss it, that's it. Chance gone.

To be honest, RuneScape is great the way it is, but I think that you should be able to lend these items to people who want to experience them. Proud Gielinorian since 2004.

Pretty sure that wouldn't be possible so long as they are untradeable anyway, but I don't know for certain.

You saw the part where she wants it to say "copy" but you didn't comment on me changing the wording to "Cosmetic Override" as outfits from Solomon's all say already. You also didn't comment on the fact that limiting the items to Solomon's for Loyalty Points keeps most people from getting them, but if there's one, or maybe a few, that they'd actually want, they'd have to further extend their membership every time they want one, at least until they have enough points to purchase them. Which could take a while depending how many they truly want.
