So based on this I am "toxic person" and "selfish" as well. To say the least your reasoning here eludes me but lets leave that aside for the moment. You said you wanted a reason to " actually empathize with and get behind". The way I see it a lot of people have and collect these items to show they prticipated in an event. For the sake of sticking with a personal example, several years back there was a hallowe'en event I quite enjoyed. Imo still the best hallowe'en event to date It awarded the player with a few items that are not obtainable otherwise nowadays. i personally wouldn't want to see these items sold on SGS because back then you had to play through the whole hallowe'en quest to even get them. If people can now just buy it from the store that would make the whole "I worked to get it" part of doing an event obsolete. Not just for this event. Add to this that once they starting selling such items on SGS people will soon be asking that any and all seasonal items be available on SGS. It might very well destroy the whole point of even making a seasonal event as people will just buy them of the store anyway. I hope that this provides you with some insight into some of the points people are trying to make.

If they dont do anything for the cuirrent owners, then what would they do for new owners?
Can you actually tell me why it's better that nobody be allowed to dress as Santa for Xmas unless they were there that specific day 10 years ago? If not, then be gone hypocrite.

Hype for new items will never leave, but like I said before.. New items should not be any excuse to forbid anybody from past items. Especially the highest demanded of all. More players can get cosmetic appeal and interest in this game if more cosmetics, such as ones that don't have any direct use besides saying you played one week during one year, which nobody ever comments on, were made available to them.

That's their one and only purpose? Showing you played one day or week out of a year? And what good does that do for anything? Is it a bad concept to let newer players dress as their Halloween grim reaper or Santa?

Releasing old items by selling them on Solomon's would make most of those buying it work harder than we ever did during the events. They'd have to work for bonds, and possibly more than 1 at that, so anybody buying from in game has to spend probably 30m+ on each cosmetic they want. So don't act like it's cheap or free, or easy.

This is actually a good point, both in what you said (people wouldn't bother completing the event as much anymore if they could just buy the rewards), but also with Jagex being discouraged to work on a holiday event, and just skip it by selling the rewards for extra cash, meaning no holiday events for us to even complete. Personally I didn't mind alternate versions of those cosmetics on Solomon's store before, but now it seems it was even better for the game integrity for the poll to not execute. > )

Blackwing, you seem almost desperate to respond along with everybody who disagrees with me, and against everybody who sides with me, but you still completely refuse to acknowledge anything I say. Answer me why?

Are you a troll, a coward, or just plain stupid, bratan?

You spew a lot of bullshit about game integrity being so important without ever posting how it's damaged or at risk.

You don't acknowledge factual points, such as what I just said, saying anything here being put on Solomon's makes them even harder to obtain than everybody who originally got it for free.

Now, if people wanted the next holiday items for free with minimally easy work, they should do the event when it comes out. If they are unable, they have to work hard, dump several millions into bonds per each individual piece or outfit they may want.

For every past outfit, I'm positive a person would have to spend well over a couple hundred dollars directly for Runecoins, or invest heavy time into earning a few hundred mils to blow solely on cosmetics from the past. But that's entirely up to their personal choice.

You seem to be under the impression that "rarity" on Nontradeable cosmetics is a good thing. Explain why?

People who are able to do events won't start avoiding events just because the rewards are available elsewhere for 20-40m every time. I see that as motivation to do it and get them for free, but missing a holiday due to real life complications should be taken into account. These things all do nothing, so why are they rare?

Account age displays is their only purpose? That isn't even something people actually comment on. I've never once had a person congratulate me on being there for Xmas 2008 when I wore my suit in the past 10 years. Nor my Easter ring anytime that's used. But I've seen hundreds if not thousands of complaints that they could never have that same suit for their own cosmetic interest.

The reason holiday events are a week long is because that's how long people celebrate the holidays. They didnt make them short for the sake of exclusive once in a lifetime rewards. And there's no event news post in these forums saying any past event is described as once in a lifetime either. Except for one, which was a more recent Mod Lee bossing event.

I have no problem with Jagex selling anything at all. As long as it is done in a way that is overall beneficial for the game, like this would not give anything that can give people any advantages, while Jagex gets an added revenue source long term. Only people who truly desire or want the items will drop several mils on bonds for them, and those who buy coins only add to our future updates as well.
