Everybody seems so selfishly concerned that more players will likely start leaving this game due to Jagex constantly following elitists rather than majorities, and only adding useless, or top tier junk updates. There's nothing being done to give the more average or newer players any reason to stay long term. And the current community only pushes people further away while thinking everything is fine as long as they are happy, because to them nobody else matters.

It's sad, right?

Also, full support for rereleasing anything behind paywalls, be it either dollars or large sums of gp. Brilliant idea with absolutely no downsides that these people would be able to explain.

Just saying, but this can be taken both ways you know. How do you mean? Is it toxic or selfish to think a person should be able to enjoy the game their way? These are cosmetics that don't do a thing for you, so forcing exclusivity on them is only for those with toxic personalities only worried about themselves. Not the other way around.

As I said before, absolutely never have I been complimented or even acknowledged for "account age any single time I've ever worn or used a holiday item. So using that as an argument against me is not going to get you anywhere. How about you bring up a reason to keep them exclusive that I can actually empathize with and get behind, rather than arrogantly assume I'm wrong.

What good comes from showing that they participated in an event? That's literally all it's good for? A person who participated can't still say they were there if another person owns it?

For your information, there is a suggestion that, instead of selling the items anywhere, bring the events back in their own portal and let the rewards still be awarded for people who did the event. And I support this as well. I don't support people saying "it shows that I was there" as an excuse to forbid every single new person to join the game from owning a holiday-themed cosmetic.
