It is too late! I'm not even talking about SGS which I also have a problem with, but that is a whole other problem, what I am talking about it SOF! I think that most players can agree that this undermines the game, or have you forgotten about the large amounts of free exp and gp you can get from it if you buy spins?
You say all these micro-transactions are to facilitate further better updates, but you know what? I'll believe it when I see. Time and time again you guys have made promises and time and time again you guys have broken them. You have lied to us, talked in circles, contradicted yourself and flat out ignored us and you want us to take you on your word now? No, not happening.
Give players tangible results, don't go back on your word of not compromising the game (even if arguably that has already happened). Don't say it, do it. The new HTML thing looks like it will be cool though, but don't stop there.
Normally I would end this with a thank you for your post and responding to your players, but I'm done with that. This sort of post should have been done a while ago and I'll thank you when go through with your promises.
I look forward to the Q&A.

Nobody wants these stupid RWT tools you'd save yourself the hassle by getting rid of them, just get rid of all of them and stop lying to your community.
Also, if Mod MMG isn't going to post it why should anyone care what he has to say anymore.

I'm not really mindful of the SoF/SGS stuff, frankly I just play Runescape for the fun of it - My only concern really is the change from Java to HTML5 because looking at those pictures the HTML5 has more detail, which to me says "LAG" and coming from Australia we have one of the worst options for worlds as currently our own server is unplayable :c...
I'm hoping that with all this revenue you are getting from SoF/SGS is put back into making sure us all can play your game properly under the new HTML5. ^^
The J.A.G. should be interesting to see - so I can't wait till it's brought out.
Other than that... keep going I guess, keep at it and hopefully it will all work out in the end.

the fact that you are even defending yourselves in this case speaks for itself, you talk about not wanting to alienate players due to sof and solomans store, and then provide statistics that you have thought up out of nowhere, trying to make yourselves sound like robin hood.
the facts are these; you do allow players to buy xp and gp, which is a disgrace to the players, by hiding it within the sof itself, you are squeezing every last penny out of people, on a game that used to be all about time = skills, now you just hand out things ***** nilly to the highest bidder.
you are embaressing yourselves with your blatent disregard for player feedback too, you dont listen to what people want, you dont care what people want, you are merely just trying to grow your own coffers.
shame on you jagex, get a grip!!

You guys have to understand that the Jagex staff is trying to turn a profit just like any successful business would do. If the squeal of fortune and solomans store will keep the game running then I think that is okay. This isn't a not-for-profit organization and everyone has to realize this. I don't care that they're trying to make money because that's what any of us would try to do too.

well i have a few things to say to this. One as a 9+ year player (member for a few of those and currently a member) i am very happy to see that the developers are aware that things like solomons store and sof can unbalance the game. That more than anything encourages me to CONTINUE being a member and to maybe donate some extra money here and there (i have bough some sof spins just because i had to try my luck) but on the same token ber very careful how much you test the limits on game effecting items and everything will be ok. i greatly respect your openness and of course your desire to make money. i understand that as a company. and Solomons Store as a way to show off flashy, cosmetic items is something i applaud. items that look cool, have cool emotes, and show off but dont effect actual gameplay. Even the bank space is a creative way to make money while not effecting the game (i might buy a few bank spaces just because im a pack rat) just dont make the game one of those games where the rich win because they can just buy hundreds of dollars worth of stuff. (i would if i could haha, but alas im a poor college student) and on the other stuff. i only have 2 words. HTML5 and RuneScape on my Android devices!!! one of the best idea out of Jagex since the invention of RuneScape 1 (oh how i miss the glory days)

What you need to realize is that this isn't about making money for game content. 20-40 million dollars of PROFIT in a year can easily sustain development and upkeep of the game. And thats just profit, not the money they already spend for upkeep and development. What this is about is the fact that Jagex was bought out by a company that has a track record of buying gaming companies, introducing in-game store type things, emptying the pockets of the players because after awhile the best items will only be sold in the store.
Incidentally, this has been out for several months. Guess what? We've had fewer updates and less new content since it has been out then at any point in the past few years. Simply put, the money isn't going where they say it is. It's going directly into their pockets and when they've drained the players of their money, they'll buy a new company and leave Rs dead in the gutter. Don't blindly follow whatever PR posts they put out simply because its signed by MMG. Take your own advice and actually think about what they are doing.
