We have got some tremendous content - as well as technical innovations - lined up over the course of the next few months that we believe you will love. -Mod Michelle
~~~~~
In my opinion, and perhaps many others, the Queen Black Dragon and the Kalphite King are not necessarily innovative. And although they could be tremendous in size, they are not in idea. They're not the 'massive content' that will attract new players.
~~~~~
We have put a lot of effort in the first half of the year on new systems like Squeal of Fortunate and Solomons General Store as well as some of the big technical innovations that we highlighted above, like you I don’t think a marketing promotion should count towards a content update, and although there will continue to be regular promotions and updates on Squeal or Solomon’s store we are squarely focusing a dedicated team bringing you weekly game content and updates no matter what. - Mark.
So, six months, practically focusing on marketing and preventing cheating in game (Not that there's anything wrong with preventing cheating, it's just that there was so little content along the way). Seriously, so little content. More graphical reworks than anything. And why just a single, dedicated team? Why not focus multiple teams for versatility? I know you guys believe, as well as everyone else should, that fast is not always good, especially not if there's a single team trying to get weekly content out. "Well, we fixed one of those graphical bugs and changed the look of Taverly. That's good enough, right?" No innovative content.
~~~~~
I'm going to copy and remember this post MMG for when you do start selling RSGP. - Mirrored Sea.
They already do. Squeal of Fortune. As seen in Chris Archie Prod's youtube, some guy just recently bought his way to 400m in spins.
~~~~~
Simply put, I'm not impressed. Runescape needs more than new people and new teams. It needs innovative minds and help, because it might not last if this keeps up.
Ebb and flow.

@ Valkery5
Tho I agree with most of what you say, but to be fair -I think you have forgotten to concider the combat rework. They have put a lot of effort into that so it's not like they have been doing nothing. I have to admit tho, that I'm NOT that thrilled about the rework. But I guess it will increase the game versatility and generate new possibilities for future content.

I would like to see a Jagex mod prove once and for all that buying spins on the SoF does not directly result in GP or XP. The only argument they can make is that there is no direct corrolation because the amount of gp or xp is not decided (for the most part) by the player. However, it is undeniable that 99% of the time, the player will either receive a certain amount of gp (whether in the value of items or coins) or xp(in direct lamps mostly, but the occasional pendant that increases xp growth).
I, for one, enjoy getting spins every day for being a member, and receiving small rewards. I also appreciate getting a spin every once in a while for training skills. My problem, as well as countless others' problems, is with the buying of SoF spins. General feedback is positive for Solomon because Solomon has no direct impact on the game (it provides none except for the new bank space increase).
I understand that micro-transactions are important in generating revenue for the improvement/expansion of the game, I just wish you could do these microtransactions without affecting the core elements of the game and giving advantages to those who wish to buy success.
EDIT(this is primarily directed to As I Wish): For the record, membership is not really considered as buying your way into success. The F2P world is essentially a demo of the game, and membership actually unlocks the full game. You cannot use membership to buy gold/xp, you are simply able to earn it easier/faster and train with more efficiency which results in faster xp growths.
Also, people have countless reasons for choosing to become a member or not. Many people are satisfied with the F2p game and don't feel the need to become a member. Also, think of the meaning of financial status. We are talking about the people who BUY SPINS TO IMPROVE THEIR CHARACTER. They are buying success in the game as opposed to doing the hard work in game. Please learn what people are talking about and make your arguments as such.

THERE IS NOTHING NEW in what they are saying with this MMG post. It's the same old stories about how they do what they think is best for the game, and that they are still fighting bots. Mixed with some suck up lines about how they value their players (players that they pretty much ignore).
All uninteresting.

"I’d like to update you on how we plan to help fund the future development; how we’re making sure that we do not undermine what makes it the adventure game that millions of us, worldwide, enjoy on a daily basis; and what we’re doing to improve on what we’ve launched so far.
In the case of the Squeal and Solomon’s Store, this has been no different. We have thought out and carefully quantified the impact of these updates on the overall game, and have been looking anxiously at feedback from all of our community. "
Most people think it's trash and you advertise it in 12 of 14 updates. Without giving significant membercontents. You ignore the complaints. The next update after your text was called double spins on sale. So how foolish do you think we are, or at least I am.
"One specific difference that does exist with these updates, however, is that micro-payments are often associated with their potential to undermine the integrity of games so that companies can profit in the short-term. As a result, many players have questioned whether RuneScape is heading down this tragic route."
Im sure this game is going downtown.
"I want to say, categorically, that we will not go down this road. In reality - and quite in contrast to this speculation - the introduction of micro-payments to RuneScape has a significant role in ensuring that we can continue to support, develop and grow the game for many more years to come."
You only advertise and develope rwt that no1 wants.
Where are new skills and so on? Not even 1 quest this month.
"We place immense value in our - and your - game's integrity, feedback from our community, and continually improving the game experience for all, and we have a strong track record of making decisions in this area that we know may be sub-optimal, commercially speaking, but represent our values. For example, we know that directly selling gold, XP or even accounts"
After that you said you don't sell directly. But clearly yes you sell gold, xp and items.
