"You're basically saying that it's okay to sell gold, as long as it's not a lot. You haven't even touched on the massive exp gains from SoF"
The chances of getting the massive exp/gold prizes from SoF is way too rare. Simply because it exists in there doesn't mean anyone gets them for a long time. There is a better chance of getting more from PvM.
I repeat, just simply because they exist doesn't mean alot of people get them. It's random and the odds are against you when going for high prices, just like in flowering.

"is that micro-payments are often associated with their potential to undermine the integrity of games so that companies can profit in the short-term. As a result, many players have questioned whether RuneScape is heading down this tragic route."
------
Why do you say this then put bank space on sale? You are already down that road mate.
------
“we know that directly selling gold, XP or even accounts would generate between 10 to 15 times more revenue than Squeal or Solomon’s Store generates combined. However, we simply won’t do it, because we don’t believe it’s the right thing for the long-term health of the game.”
------
So basically you are saying that we should deal with it because you could be doing something worse? I’m sorry MMG, but comparing something we hate to something that would be a totally moronic choice even from a business standpoint and would never happen does not excuse you from putting micro transactions in to the game.
------
“directly selling”
------
This means they’re up for selling XP and GP indirectly
------
“gold, XP or even accounts
we simply won’t do it”
------
No mention of not selling armour and weapons?

No offence Jagex, but I don’t know if I can trust you or not, you have broken so many promises in the past.
Anyone can talk, lets wait and see if you can also act.

"and certainly tens of millions of dollars"
Jagex is a British company, can you please, at the very least, use the British currency of pounds instead of giving into this americanisation of British companies and industry.

this is kinda off subject but bringing the combat beta in to this game will fully ruin this game all my friends that i play with are all going to quit once it comes and every person i have asked about it i have always gotten negetive feed back, i really dont get why you are puting so much time and effort into somthing that alot of people hate and lots of people are going to quit. But thats just my opinion. Id say just leave the game the way it is.

"This is the kind of regular update we need, answering any issues, outlining the future plans and basically settling the nerves of the majority of the players. I already feel less confused about all the mentioned issues, and although I didn't agree with the micro-payment updates it'll be good to see action against the issue 100 times more important - BOTS!
Keep up the good work ^_^ "
I think they havent detailed their future plans enough, for ex. they havent said new high level armours/weapons wont be on SOLOMON/SOF.
And jagex saying they will get rid of bots isnt a new thing, more action less words please!

Btw, has anyone thought that maybe Jagex might be taking their time with Bots because the sudden removal of thousands of accounts and items could have a potential backlash on the game. Maybe they're thinking of a way to stabilize the game after there removals. Just a thought.

"Well at least we have in writing that Jagex won't start formally selling xp or gold. Although the technically started selling it informally with the Squeal, but this is at least a step in the right direction. "
Well technically thats not a step in the right direction but a promisse of not taking a giant leap in the wrong direction.

look jagex hear your loyal players don't get rid of sof if you don't want to its your game...but get rid of the xp lamps and cash...your doing the same thing that gold farmer websites advertise...buy your way to success in the game...really...that's not what this game has ever been involved in...sounds to me like your selling out...but that's my opinion and a big majority of the players of Runescape...sof is just anoying to the rest of us... :) ty
