Gloooo Flumo hit a lot of good points. Many of them quite obvious and really needed to be said. Sadly, we are hit with so much bs, it is hard to respond to it all. Thanks Gloooo for making the effort for us all.
This was VERY hard for me to read. The game has gone absolutely downhill since 2006 when Jagex effectively ruined it for millions of players. They say they listen quite well o the community, well, I suppose they ignore the 85% of it that's people saying Jagex should go to hell along with their anti-runescape updates. I am not one of these people, but this is fact. The community is revolting on the updates Jagex is implementing, and even though it doesn't seem so, it's because the revolters have quit already.
I joined around 2011. I never played the origional 2006 runescape, and I don't regret that, but it's completely true that Jagex is still xp through Squeal of fortune. When I heard of this micro-programming thing, I sincerely thought it was a fancy word to express that their selling GP now. And I wasn't surprised. I understand that, as said by a J-mod himself, J-mods / jagex doesn't have to follow the rules. Quote on quote, "the rules only apply to players." - But this is just ridiculous.
I like the way runescape is now. I do. But the forseeing updates SUCK. This beta mode? The loss of the fun in dds specing? specing fun in general? the whole new pking changes? Squeal of fortune containing xp lamps and the ability to buy spins on the squeal from Jagex itself? This is all absolutely over the top, and if the game wasn't ruined a while ago, these updates will be the checkmate. GF Runescape...
I agree with Gloo 100% but the hacking part because i was hacked and some people use same computers as others so not always the person at fault if a kid breaks family desktop or laptop
Not all change is for the better.
no Glooooo you said it how it is for so many of us. It is certainly not flamming it is the truth. I keep comming back to forums in the hope that one day I will see that they have cleaned this mess up and I will be able to log in and go to my POH see all my pets again go penguin hunting again in all the places that I worked so hard to open up, sadly I see this is not going to happen any time soon.
I don't mind micro transaction at all as long as the offers are cosmetic or for fun, like the emotes and spell animations. Polluting the game with heaps of easily "gambled" xp is another story. I can't see how this won't massivly impact gameplay and markets, and it gives a truly unfair advantage to wealthy players willing to throw money into levels. The xp lamps should be taken out or at least chances to get one should be lowered by far.
Best regards,
Mace
Big Ork: "3 years ago the idea of buying/obtaining extra bank space through some sort of paying effort would be unheard of... now solomon sells extra bank space or you can obtain it through loyalty points " ....... Me .."and I did it" every day I was dropping stuff and Im' not a big warrior so I sell most everything I get, make , kill for , or pick up off the ground....Plus I have lots of stuff from quests I dont know if I should keep or not... anyways... when I saw the extra room to behad in my bank I jumped for it. NOOO I'm not a rich person in real life I live in a trailerhome. ..But Im a hard worker and wanted more bank space. ....so if I "failed" in buying that I guess I'm a failure. ...
But I just wish Jagex would see that members who really want "good changes" are not over looked. And as for "free trade and pvp" .. I voted "NO" to both. ... all I have to say now is Jagex Plz listen to us. :/ we love rs.
I swear I will copy and paste this article if exp and armor goes for sale, but I appreciate the efforts on bot nuking. The new account security sounds great; its way too easy to hack into someone's account these days. Just remove Solomon's store and Rs might just turn around.
