Yaknow....I've listened to the staff point of view, and the player point of view, and I've formulated and reformulated my opinions on the squeal and Solomons, and I keep returning to the same ultimate decision. As long as you're *not* selling gold or directly selling XP, I don't really care. It doesn't have to effect my game, I don't have to buy it. If it means you can continue to develop without drastically raising the cost of membership, I say hell yes.
I will not buy squeal spins, at least that is currently how I feel, I reserve the right to change my mind if something really epic hits the wheel :p, but...I have and I will continue to make purchases on Solomons, and I like the idea that I can further support the development of the game, but on my own terms.
That being said....I think you really screwed up with the combat update...just sayin ;)

The fact is whether or not jagex is indirectly selling gold through Sof, there are still 100 sites where players can buy gold so i would much rather jagex sold gold and made teh game better since they were getting the profits than the gold selling sites.

I'm a satified customer and have been for years and will continue. When people make poor choices its on them. I mean we will just start to see more and more people just join in on the SoF BS. Jagex stands to make millions and millions.
Off the topic but not really. They always tell us about awards and 200m player mark etc. Why don't they ever tell us how much revenue they make a month? A year? or how much they've made off of SoF?
Because like all big corperations they will hide and continue to hide this information.
Why would they want to tell us that they are making millions of dollars in profit.
All they said was "We doubled the RS team and We put most money back in the game" Yeah?!?!? Defy most please? Because I'm sure that you guys at Jagex don't get paid if free subcriptions or cosmectic RS clothes.
How bout this Jagex, Why don't you pay you company in SoF spins since you guys like the aspect of it so much.....

I hate sof
I played rs for 7 years and I quit 5 months ago and play sofscape for free sof. I do not pay. I do not enjoy it. I have friends who play.
I attempted to return to play Runescape and my account was abused by Jagex.

This is a totally separate issue but I have no f***ing idea where to post it.
I've posted what I had to say in Recent Updates, and my thread was closed. I created another one, apologizing, and asking where the best place to post would be (excluding this thread, where most replies will probably never be read).
Of course the Jagex mod who answers directs me back to this thread, completely ignoring what I asked in the first place.
What do we have to do around here to get our voices heard about these troubling issues? You can't just keep shutting us down forever.

I thought you had a really good point, Ancientmace.
Jagex is either incredibly stupid or extremely deluded. There's no way they can get on here, read our comments and listen to the player base and STILL come to the conclusion that they're doing the right thing. Absolutely unbelievable.
