Congrats, you found another way to RWT with the people. Can you start selling gold now please? After that I think the game will be REAAALLLY good *kids*. But really guys other MMO's are doing this as well. Just not as nearly as extreme as these guys in the dept. of speed. Too bad for Jagex though for a browser MMO its not going to work well. I think I might have to start saving my 5 a month towards something else at this rate. Soz Jagex I'll remer you as I did in 06.

Yet again, Jagex DESTROYS one of their games ..... This company effing BLOWS. Why do they insist on horrid update after horrid update? Don't they GET IT? IT CAN'T BE A PACK OF MONKEYS WORKING THERE?!?! WTF IS GOING ON???????????

I already posted this on the RS Facebook but I figured that I should do it here too. I want to show both sides of the argument because I see that a lot of people are trying to speak for everyone on how everyone is going to be leaving RS when this is just sadly not the case.
Congratulations on all your success Runescape!
1). I'm a strong believer in: "Don't count your chickens before they hatch." You guys might not make it to 200mil, you shouldn't assume like that.
2). To celebrate I'll probably play Runescape. If you guys do anything in honor of the occasion that would be pretty nifty. But I don't expect or demand it out of the RS team to do anything for the occasion.
On a couple of side notes I do agree with the people saying that the vast majority of these accounts being created are bots. But statisticly the number still is what it is. Bots to me are just NPC's that are actually doing something instead of waiting hand and foot on me to do something involving them.
Also, the new shop thing you guys made where you can use money to get things.. I actually think it's kind of cool. Some people don't have vast amounts of time to pour into their gaming so if they want to buy something then that's good. If you want to do it the good earning way then go ahead, even better on you. In a way it's kind of like the real world, there's always going to be someone throwing their money around to get something you either can't afford or had to work harder for. Things like this are obviously successful though, just look at Farmville for example. And people, you act as though these things are going to cost a fortune. Just get a card or two for your birthday or christmas. Or get in your change jar and buy one.
Anyways, I digress. Runescape MODS, I just wanted to show you that there are still people that appreciate what you do and will offer constructive criticism instead of becoming irate and throwing a tantrum.

If you all don't like it, then DON'T USE IT. The cost of maintaining Runescape is probably higher than the income they receive from ad revenue and membership combined. This and SoF are just ways for Jagex to try and make up for the cost of running the game that players can utilize IF THEY CHOOSE TO. Nobody is putting a gun to your head and making you buy spins or Runecoins. I personally don't plan on buying any coins, but it doesn't bother me that it is in the game, and I don't see why anyone would be so furious about the addition. I used my 200 free coins, and that's all I'll ever have.
I think Oldschool Runescapers (myself being one 8+ years) need to get used to the fact that change happens, and learn that not all change is bad, rather than losing their minds and crying like a bunch of 3 year olds who don't get their way.

Ok Jagex, wake up and smell the coffee. Almost everyone is furious about this update. You are FORCING us to use a different currency system. Its bad enough that memebers have to pay to play the full game... but making players have to buy the runecoins, is too much. :|

Nobody is forcing you to do anything spiritwolf. You don't HAVE to buy Runecoins. And of course you have to pay to play the full game. Would you get mad at Activision for making you pay for Call of Duty to play it? Didn't think so.
