I have been a loyal player of this game for almost 10 years, and a constant member for about 7.5 years. I remember when Jagex's motto was that they will never ever do anything even remotely related to RWT. I still remember the gnomecopters that were introduced to the F2Pers to give them a tour of members' areas and encourage them to purchase membership. I remember how much furor that brought from the community, and how you guys pulled it because it went against your core beliefs. As time went on, i saw the introduction of the loyalty store, which was a great idea. and then, the timecards. I thought the timecards were a great idea for people who didnt have a credit card/couldnt afford to pay a recurring subscription. And then you started giving out rewards for redeming those cards. the sword, the green skin color, the flaming skull. All of those things you gave to the people who bought the cards, and none of those things to your loyal members who have been paying for years. I admit, i did shell out money to get a timecard for the green skin on halloween, but after than i realised how unfair the whole thing was. It was then that i saw how Jagex was being slowly corrupted. Then the squeal of fortune came, with its pay-for-spins idea. That was borderline RWT, which Jagex stated was something they would never ever do. But it was offset a bit by the fact that you could get free spins ingame. Now this store comes into play. This is true RWT, with no coverup or anything. You have to realize that this goes against your core philosophy that has been there for over a decade! You promised us, the players, that you would do everything in your power to prevent RWT in any way, shape, and form, and now you decide to not only go back on your word, but do it so blatantly, as to break the core foundation of your philosophy. I would not be surprised to see a bigger mass unsubscription than that which happened after free trade elimination.
TL;DR. You broke your word, and you fail.
