I have got 2 members accounts and they have been members without a break since 2008 now I'm expected to pay further money to acquire certain items, not for one but two accounts. This is an insult to all loyal players.
To all players who agree with this update you are also agreeing that its fine for Jagex to rip us off which is exactly what they are doing to members.
Well good luck with this game its dying a slow and painful death and you will all be thinking how it all went wrong.

Yeah okay I think the players aren't what they used to be since it became a lot more commercial but the game is still good. It has it's problems but It still has a certain charm that keeps me playing that other MMORPG's seem to lack.

I usually don't have anything to say about all this but the fact that you can only buy the runecoins and not earn them from playing cheapens the whole thing. I have been playing this game since 02(on a previous account) and have been a long standing member. I am in no way trying to be a naysayer but honestly, when i first started playing i would get so impatient about updates to the game and when one finally came out i knew it was going to be epic. These days, not so much. The fact that these items cannot be found in game or points earned in game to get disheartens a lot of people. There are many people i know that play this over WoW(excuse my language =P) because they can actually afford it. The fact people are going to be running around with things only purchasable with hard earned Usd/Euros, etc really disheartens me about the direction this is starting to go. I'll admit i use SoF but only because i get the 2 free spins each day which usually only ends up in 2k gold but still.
This may not be heard by anyone and I might get flamed but I don't care. This is a game i have loved for a long time and now, well lets just say it will be frustrating to the people like myself who can't afford to purchase runecoins to see people run around with things unobtainable to people like myself. I have been on vacation and honestly I thought I would miss RS but well I don't... Now this? The only thing I am going to miss if I quit is the community. Combat BETA blows, I hate SOF and now I have something new to Hate.
I know times are hard Jagex. I am struggling myself but extorting money from your players or their parents is wrong no matter how bad off you are. The whole world is struggling to be honest and this is NOT the way to make it better. Especially for those who have to pay a "Foreign transaction fee" every time you pay to play. (Me for example). I refuse to buy this junk.
You once said that you don't want your players to be able to buy there way to success in Runescape. Well you lied, because that is exactly where your headed.

No one's going to agree with me, because people don't like it when someone isn't affected by something they hate, but this doesn't bother me. I don't care if I can't afford extra RuneCoins on top of an existing membership. I just continue on with the game and enjoy it. No need to get angry over something so pointless.
