I took a year of rs myself and let the re occurring payment run, because I knew I would return.
I am a grown lady that raised 2 girls that are now grown and a young man that will graduate high school in 2 years. Even though I was and I am a stay at home mom, all 3 kids have kept me very busy (son still keep me busy). all 3 kids have and had afterschool activities which we parents were and are very involved in. I get that people like old school or iron man, but as a wife, and mother and a busy life style I found only time for 1 account which isn't even close to maxed. While I have had many more rs hours avail to me then, the average person on rs. I find it hard to even max 1 account let alone 2, 3 or 4. So I really don't comprehend all the complaints. I am sorry but I just don't get it. How in the heck can you all MAX all the content so fast and beg for more more and more and start NEW accounts

If you are raising membership cost then, REMOVE MTX! The whole point of MTX was so you didn't have to raise membership cost....

Who are the real scammers? Best wishes to all.
Jagex declared WAR on April 2nd, 2012 by implementing MTX.

This game is no different.

You don't get to tell a company how to make their money and you don't get to dictate how they make their product and you don't get to decide who they sell it to (or even who they market it to).

Presumably they have surveys and polls precisely because they want to hear feedback about their product and business. :D

Presumably they have price increases for a reason as well. Something about it just doesn't scream 'tell us what you think we should do to make money' or 'tell us how to make our product'. Isn't it weird how apologists usually like to insist people should "give ideas and suggestions instead of just being angry"... and then, when people actually DO come and give ideas and suggestions, those very same people start going "duh, you are trying to dictate what a company should be doing"... and now... apparently, polls and feedback made and requested from time to time by developers is NOT so people can give an idea and what they think could be made?... also, related to that, isn't it rather contradictory how apologists like to personally adress and dismiss other people by over-emphasizing that "they are just one person" (and therefore, apparently, automatically wrong no matter what) but end up telling that to... more than "just one person"... usually, "one" that is pretty much saying the exact same thing as other before them?

So many seem to complain about the content and updates. Here is a tip for you EITHER PLAY THE GAME MORE or PAY ATTANTION to when Jagex WANTS your input. The Fact that you constantly complain about Jagex updates or the Lack there of shows that you are NOT Paying attention when it comes to rs. The above poll results Cleary state what the MAJORITY AT THE TIME asked. This is NOT the only Poll they done in Game either. Many of the complaints are in warranted if you would just be EDUCATED on a game you claim you care about

stop with the frikken comparing. Both Businesses are OWNED by 2 different groups of people who both have their own visions. If Runescape was meant to be like wow they would MERGE THE 2 GAMES. You like wow better then rs fine GO PLAY IT, but stop bringing it up on a GAME THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.

Example for those that don't comprehend this: Burger King and Mc Donald's both have Cheeseburgers. They both have their own uniqueness and both Businesses are owned by 2 different people. If you prefer 1 over the other you go to it. You don't ask Burger King to make theirs like Mc Donald's

1.- Except that the thing that bothers a good deal of people is that when those "fewer but larger" updates come... they are kinda half-assed, remember how much "hype" there was about menaphos? and then it was a letdown with an over-repetitive grind for reputation to even begin unlocking stuff, cryptic ways to get the items for journal, bad plots and lame to non-existent rewards from it's quests?

2.- RS and WoW might be different games, but they share a genre, so neither gets to exist in a "special bubble" where nobody can call out crap, people aren't asking RS to be like WoW, they are pointing out that if the pricing models is going to be on it's scale, then the quality and scope of the game should be on that scale.
